I am a newbie. Here is my somewhat brief history. Name. Elisabeth Stover From. Originally-Marquette,MI...now-Houston,TX Age. 31 Where did I first hear Poe? Unfortunately it wasn't until right before this last Christmas when I was browsing for music at Best Buy. I saw the Haunted cd for $10 and thought I might as well give it a try. I freaked out. I have not gone a day since without listening to both cds. All I can say is wow. I am in awe of the woman. Musically, lyricly, and personally. What do I listen to? Garbage, Fiona Apple, Placebo, Sarah Brightman, Alice In Chains, Chopin, Beethoven, Any really good opera. Interesting little facts about me. Well none really, other than I have weird taste in music and I write poetry and am beginning work on an autobiographical novel. That's about it. I am glad to be an Angry Psycho now. Poe should be recognized as the talent she is by the world. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2001 09:26:43 -0800 From: "Joel Schwartz" Subject: npr: guster Hello all southern california psychos. Also, the service itself does not suck, only the massive-monopoly/big-player nature of the beast. They have the best message boards, e-mail (16 megabytes for file attachments, unsend feature, recently deleted mail, instant save filing cabinet, etc.) and myriad other creature comforts...unfortunately they also have a ton of all too "Disney" pseudo-family oriented crapola. ******************************************************************** > But then again, I'm a tech support supervisor who spends ~30% of his day > FIXING operating system networking files that have been > rendered useless by AOL/MSN/BlueLight software (Can anyone tell me WHY > KMart is in the ISP biz?) > AOL , it makes changes to the wininet.dll file in the windows > system directory that makes connecting to any other ISP difficult if not > impossible. ****************************************************************************** ***** Yeah, that is chicken s**t...I think they started that with AOL 5.0; the earlier versions didn't do that. And if you fix some of the nasty little things AOL does in the Windows registry, it will often "unfix" them the next time you run AOL. My own little network of two computers has yet to experience any networking trouble caused by AOL though. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2001 11:25:22 -0800 From: "Mike Vaughn" Subject: RE: NPR - poe.org chat As a stock owner in AOL, I say...
