I just came back from seeing Traffic. I suggested going to my friend just because everyone's been raving about it and I figured I'd see for myself. Jeeeeesus, talk about two and a half WASTED hours! I'm sorry if I'm missing something, but the movie was just horrible. Perhaps the only good thing about it was Seth's rattling on about the psyche of black people in the inner city and why they sell, etc. And that was maybe 1 or 2 minutes out of 2 and a half hours. Ok, drugs get you mixed up into things that cause major troubles. We know that. Someone PLEASE tell me I missed some genius in the movie. Then at least I won't feel like I wasted the time and the cash. - --pix ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2001 03:00:00 -0500 From: "Rusty Shelby" Subject: PR: promotion, 99x HELP while we're all calling & emailing radio stations... please take this into consideration... the dj's are already aware of this song.. but.. they just need an additional PUSH... so let's hit 'em.... 99x, WNNX in atlanta... http://www.99x.com/looklisten/equest/ click the link above... you can email a request in.. a very simple form.. and also.. you have the option to keep or toss anything on their current playlist... so, while you're at it, you can demolish those song you simply HATE.. and promot the one's you LOVE.. at the same time, requesting POE :) - -rusty agentorange2@mindspring.com = rusty@poe.org ***************************************************************************** ********************************* Jennifer Nettles Band: http://www.jennifernettles.com | http://www.jennifernettlesband.com ***************************************************************************** ********************************* POE: "Haunted" the new album in stores now featuring the new single, "Hey Pretty". | http://www.p-o-e.com | http://www.buffybb.net/poe | ***************************************************************************** ********************************* Amanda Ghost: "Ghost Stories" album in stores now featuring the new single, "Idol" * and the single "Filthy Mind" as heard in the movie "Valentine". http://www.amandaghost.net | http://amandaghost.cjb.net/ ***************************************************************************** ********************************* ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2001 11:39:23 EST From: BluesyBear@aol.com Subject: PR:CONNECTICUT RADIO Does anyone know of any connecticut stations that are playing poe? Lemme know if you find one. Here are 2 most listened radios in Connecticut. http://www.kiss957.com And this so-called Connecticut #1 hit station http://www.kc101.com/index.cfm I asked why they don't play anything from Poe. So far I haven't gotten any replies from them. Maybe they'll pay more attention to this if more psychos start emailing them, or calling them. That movie is the most awesome movie. David Bowie is terrific in it. The sound track is amazing too. My next favorite have to see movie's would have to be Meet The Feebles. No, it's not Meet the Deedles, but Feebles. It's a puupet kind of film and is soooooo hilarious!! Everyone must see it, but it does have a lot of adult content Brig ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2001 11:33:55 -0800 (PST) From: Goddess21401 Subject: Re: NPR: Movie Picks Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Since "they" don't know where I live , I have told everyone I have been forced to listen to "other" stations on the web , since my local stations don't play Poe . I've especially looked for female dj's trying to encourage them to get women back on radio. I still haven't heard Poe on " The End " here in Alaska ... but I'm trying !!! Your help with requests is appreciated. I even got my friend who doesn't like Poe ( can you imagine??? ) to help me write request letters in exchange for me writing letters to try to get ferrets legal in California.. I really thought that picking scabs would have been more fun. I think the only good part of that movie was the irony behind Michael Douglas's daughter being a junkie. That was about the only entertaining part of that movie to me, and I dont usually dislike any movie. I have sat through the worst of the worst (Except Dude, Where's My Car? I had to walk out on that one, I actually felt brain cells seeping out through my ears!!!) as far as movies go, but that one really hurt to sit and watch. I mean literally. My butt was killing me!!!
