We were speaking of the business I had started to get away from my current place of employment, and she m,entioned that she had started her own side business. I encouraged her to keep at it and work hard to get it going. Then she said that she 'knew' that 'her house would be paid for by the end of the year'. At first I assumed that she was saying that her house would be paid for as a result of her hard work at her business, and the resulting profits, but then she dissapointed me by saying ' I just know someone is going to pay my house of for me by the end of the year'. Guess what? It didn't happen. It wasn't going to happen. God gives us the tools to succeed... but we have to pick them up. That's the problem I see with a lot of 'religious' people. The only time God helps us is when situations are beyond our control. If we cannot handle a situation, then he will step in if we are of the right mind. The subject line (Musical Responses to Historical Events of the Twentieth Century) is a research paper I will be doing for my sophomore honors english class. I already have a few songs, but I'm looking for some help. I need the names of songs that were written about specific historical events of the 1900's. If you guys could e-mail me some names of songs/artists that you know were specifically written about a certain historical event (i.e., Wind of Change by the Scorpions...was written about the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989). You will LOVE it! She talks about the APs and how important we are to her, Murphy Brown (Candace Bergan) encourages her to give us a shout and a peace sign. Candace GUSHES over how impressed she was about Haunted, and it seemed genuine! Poe was sick the week before the taping and her performance of Wild doesn't have the usual Poe spark to it, but was still GREAT (well, what did we expect!!!). She and Cody had a nice set to perform on. The Interview actually goes on for maybe 12 minutes (guesstimate). Had some new stuff (to me) about the relationship between Mark and herself. Mike, you can tell that the video really helped Candace prepare for the interview, she mentions several times about things she "saw" from the Border's show. I was promised that they will do whatever it takes to replace the lost tape. There is an architect that is on first for 3 commercial segments, then Poe is on for the remainder and closes the show with Wild. If anyone needs a copy I will get dupes made from the Master copy that Oxygen sent to me with the commercials already cut out! I will be in DC this week and LA next week, but can make copies when I get back from LA. All I ask is the cost of the tape and postage.
