APs in the past have been able to hang out with her and the band before or after the concert, and plenty of others could catch her sometimes at the tour bus. For the Borders tour, she went to AP parties to hang out. Since we don't even know when the tour will be yet, we don't know how meetings (if any) are going to work. >3. do you think that when she tours again her brother >will be with her some and promoting the book and stuff >(this is important because if so then I'm gonna wait >till then to try and get a book and stuff since I >missed the borders thing) You should get the book now, because you will probably still be finding new questions about it by the time the tour starts ;) - --Michele Got promos, bootlegs, or MP3s of your favorite artist? What I find much more palatable at least as far as this retro aesthetic goes is Boards of Canada's "Music Has The Right To Children," which sounds like a mellowed-out lovechild produced from a menage-`-trois among downtempo aka trip hop, ambient techno and hip hop. >I really liked their soundtrack to The Virgin Suicides... >Knowing that, can anybody recommend another album of theirs I might enjoy? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2001 22:59:22 EST From: Tusk8@aol.com Subject: tour dates? hi guys. can anyone give me the tour dates for ms. poe? or tell me where i can find them. i hate her site...i cant get in...even though i have flashwhatever. thanx thanx thanx. xxx noah ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2001 23:14:35 EST From: Evo1777@aol.com Subject: Re: My last beg... hey everyone, ive seen alot of request for poe music. since i cant find it anywhere, i think ill just transcribe it for everyone. ive been playing guitar for a while, and should have little trouble figuring the songs out. it might take a little time to do them all, since i do have a life outside of poe (unfortunatly). i need to know which songs everyone wants the most, so just email me requests or post them on the ap list. ill do the most requested ones first. im a computer retard, so ill have to get one of my friends to show me how to get it on my computer. if not, ill just make copies and mail them. take care, mike ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2001 23:41:52 EST From: KrodKnid@aol.com Subject: PR...Choking the Cherry I just found out tonight that there was a video made for "Choking the Cherry". To: angry-psychos@smoe.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 5.0 for Mac sub 28 Folks, the time has come. Now tis the time to show what an unstoppable force the APs are and just the incredible force that drives us - POE. IT'S CRUNCH TIME. Crucial moments for the "success" of "Haunted" are hanging in the balance. (I say "success" in the collective sense - in the sense of the record label feeling the album has made a substantial number of sales to have made it worth their effort and money for tour support, as well as in the sense of the album and an accompanying tour reaching Poe's devoted, core audience as well as new fans and followers.) Atlantic is prepping for the release of the single "Wild", and are ready to put their support behind it, but they need proof it will be worth their effort. It goes without saying, that when the single and video, (yes, for certain, there will be a video for "Wild",) are released, we must be prepared to FLOOD, (yes, FLOOD,) both radio stations and video channels with requests. But the focus right now is in Portland, or specifically, the radio station ----- 94.7 KNRK The New Rock Alternative -----. The new version of "Hey Pretty: (featuring Poe's brother Mark, ala Borders tour style,) can currently be heard on this station, (and on the web.... just go to their site for their webcast.) So by all means, check the station out and tell them what ya think. Or just send them a request for Poe. (This means EVERYBODY of course, not just the Portland area APs.) Or, non-Portland APs - call and ask you local radio station if they are playing this new Poe song you heard on a Portland radio station online. If they aren't, tell them they damn well need to get it. People, this is very important to Poe.... it's a crucial time. She VASTLY appreciates everything everyone has done. Now we just have to prove to her record label that we NEED her -- we need her to keep making great music and we need to have access to it and we need her out on the ROAD. No more Mr. and Ms Nice Guys. (Ok, I know that I just slaughtered grammar there, but screw it.) If any of you Portland APs want to really get behind this, please drop me a note and we can try to further organize. Or just let me know if you have indeed heard it there and what the reaction has been. If anyone has any other ideas to help this along, PLEASE speak now! and let everyone know. Seriously, the time is NOW. We need to do all we can to help this "Hey Pretty" project along. We need to be ready to push "Wild" like MAD when it hits the streets. Poe is working her butt off to make this happen, but she really does need us to help. Thanx for everything you all have done, and everything I KNOW you will do in the months to come..... : ) KORi ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V6 #36 **********************************
