For some reason, Black Flag is the only specific group that comes to mind immediately. Unfortunately, (for society.... but fortunately for your project,) hate groups have sites ALL over the web, and they give ample info on the music they listen to and support. But if you don't even want to surf by those sites, (and I could understand that feeling all too well,) the government, (FBI I believe... makes sense,) have recently set up a hate group information site that the public is supposed to be able to easily access as well. It explains and informs about the various sects, ensignia, press, media, music, film, etc. Problem is, I do not know what the addy is. But I bet it wouldn't be too hard to find. You guys are going to love this...... : ) Poe has put together a version of "Hey Pretty" ala Borders Tour style, featuring Mark's spoken word along with her vocals, and the track is currently getting airplay on KNRK in Portland, Oregon. It received very good reception when they gave it a spin, so they decided to give it some regular play. Now, this is great and all, but of course, it's not enough. We need to really flood those requests in. (Also, it wouldn't hurt the cause to let them know you are happy to hear SOMEONE is finally playing some music from a woman again. : ) So you Portland area APs, please jump on this. And if anyone knows of an e-mail address for this station, please post it to the list so the other APs can help out. This is just the beginning of the battle though.... there is still quite a war to be won out there. While radio play is a big step, it's just the beginning. This radio exposure needs to translate into sales if Poe is going to be able to hit the road. She wants nothing more than to have kick-ass AP parties worldwide, so we have to do what we can to make this happen. We need all the AP power and support we can round up. Just spread the word any way you can think of or want to. Make your own T-shirts, sprad your own flyers and posters... If it don't break no law, it goes! Go crazy! (We ain't called "psychoes" for nuttin. : ) Prease keep me updated with your efforts and the response you receive, particularly you Portland people! Hey everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself like that e-mail said to do. :-) My name is Matt Buckley, and I'm from Lansdale, PA. I'm 19. I first heard Poe when I was shown the CD "Hello" by my friend Nina, and I always thought it was great, but I never got around to buying it. I recently bought "Haunted" and I'm blown away. I have to pick up "Hello" now as soon as I get the money! :-) Other musicians I listen to a lot are, well, some of my favorites are 311, Portishead, and Stabbing Westward. I also listen to a lot of underground hardcore, and I used to play guitar in an underground hardcore band called Nessiteras. Right now, though, I've been playing drums in a band called Trace Fury, a band that Poe's influence definitely is evident in. In fact, Nina, the girl who introduced me to Poe, is one of the two female lead vocalists in the band. If anyone is interested in all in Trace Fury, we have a homepage at http://www.labratrev.com/tracefury so give it a look! I'm about to get myself on The Psycho Ward now, so I gotta go find a picture of myself to post.
