I ended up at this place called "Angry Psychos". There was a mailing list. Cool, I like mailing lists. Anything that clutters up my box is good. So I subscribed. It said to send an intro. Be warned, I'm bad at this. But I'll give it a shot anyway. Here goes... My name's Meghan. I live somewhere in Maryland, about an hour from DC. I'm 21 years old. I first heard Poe when I was wandering through a used CD store, and recognized her name from hearing songs on the radio, which I liked very much. Decided to pick up the album. Fell in love with it. Listen to it constantly. Never go anywhere without it. Hmm.... other music I listen to... It varies. Some bands I've been listening to a lot lately besides Poe are Babylon Zoo, Morcheeba, Placebo, David Bowie, Psychotica, BT (Brian Transeau), Wumpscut, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Olivia Tremor Control, Legendary Pink Dots, The Cure, The Smiths, and any other number of bands that are just slipping my mind at the moment. Hmm... anything else interesting... I couldn't survive without music. I obsess over it. I'm studying media production in college. I make web pages when I'm bored. I have a domain with plenty of space to play with. I like it... freedom is good. I like photography a lot. I need a better camera, though. I spend too much time in Denny's. I smoke like a chimney (Marlboro reds are my cig of choice). It will kill me one day, and I won't really care. I live with my parents. I hate living with my parents. I like to write, but it's usually bad. I need more CDs, my ex took about 300 of mine because he's a bastard and didn't even like any of them anyway. I'm hooked on glitter, lenore, and hello kitty. I've played the piano since I was 5, and the violin since I was 8. I should start playing the violin again. I want this silver korg keyboard that I saw in a guitar center once. I wish I had the opportunity to sing more. I want to learn to play guitar. My dream in life is to be a rock star, even though it will never happen. I'm an insomniac (why else would I be up at 4:30 AM?)... and I should go to sleep. This has gone on too long, and I may never stop. I'm hooked on glitter, lenore, and hello kitty. I liked Lenore too... the comic AND the Edgar Allen Poe obsession... but JTHM (by Lenore creator's friend, Jhonen Vasquez... I'm PRETTY sure that's his name...) was better... and, Lenore's done for as well, if I remember correctly... Heh. Hello Kitty... that reminds me, has anyone ever seen the Tim Burton short "Frankenweenie"? No, it's not a monster porn video. Anyway, the reason I'm asking is that there's a scene in the graveyard where the dog is buried and the camera is weaving its way through said graveyard and one of the gravestones has the hello kitty head with "x"s for eyes and the words "Goodbye Kitty." I cracked up when I first saw that... It's on the Special Edition of Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas VHS, which I recommend that EVERYBODY buy, because ANBC is, in my opinion, one of the best animated movies, hell...
