Hey, that man, IMHO, was the coolest person there. Manson is so much more intelligent than most of those people, and I love his shock-rocker ways, it always stirs everyone up, and I find it hilarious. But if you listen to his songs, like the new album, "Holy Wood", you'll find a very introspective and intelligent person there. He's really, like many other artists, just a social commentator. In fact, some of his stuff reminds me of Ani DiFranco. I also recently read his autobiography, which explained a lot about him. :) He also had some very interesting ideas and theories, though I don't always agree with him. I saw him in concert recently, too, and what a great stage performance! And no, none of that yucky stuff the rumours all talked about. The man isn't Satan. I especially love one of his singers, Diane, that woman has a powerful voice. They did this acoustic version of "Everytime You Touch Me", and it was so beautiful, Moby on guitar, and Diane singing, it nearly brought tears to my eyes. And his music can be great for dancing. Seriously, I don't think I had ever moved so hard except for the Marilyn Manson concert. Moby and Poe would be great. I meant, (and no ass-kissing intended,) they don't deserve the flavor he added. Let them remain the pop drivel they largely are. Not to drag out this subject here, but just to clarify: Manson/Warner often tells people/associates/"friends"/etc. to just call him "Brian". Many times when asked, "Should I call you Marilyn or Brian?" he has said, "Either is fine" but of course, in a professional sense, he wants to be called by his stage name. (For example, in an interview, I'm sure "Brian" or "Mr. Warner" wouldn't be the most appropriate reference to him, but in personal settings and business affairs, it's accepted. No, I do not know the guy nor have I ever met him, and I do not know waht I would refer to him as if I did. (I'd have to see what fit at the time.) But since the only people I ever seem to discuss him with all claim to be "personal friends" with him and refer to him as "Brian", I got in the habit. Just a simple, little "Ohh, watch us drop names!" thang we do.
