I spoke with Jeff Schock, Poe's manager in New York last week. At that time they were CONSIDERING a tour with Everlast and I was asked my opinion and to try to get the opinion of other APs. With that in mind I asked the next day in #poe and again the next week and reported the comments made pro and con back to Jeff. One thing that was VERY clear from the conversations is that Poe and her management ( Jeff is her personal manager, NOT from Atlantic) are VERY interested in what we think. They want our input, and it appears act in accordance with it when possible. The good news is that Poe WILL be touring soon! All the comments on who WE would like to see her with , and who we would NOT like to see her with are being noticed. Note for Sp00k re: getting Jeff in #Poe 12/28. That is not firm at ALL! I have only asked if he would be available. Happy holidays! Let's see...a bit about me. I'm 23, live in Los Angeles and work for Launch.com, an online music website (that's how I found out about Poe.) I also co-run a women's community website, She-Net.com, for outspoken women (like Poe!) When I'm not on the computer, I enjoy going to the theatre, concerts and clubs, writing short stories, and reading. I'm a serious music junkie and mostly listen to female singer-songwriters, both rock and folk-y. I was hooked on Poe's music as soon as I heard "Angry Johnny." She said exactly what I wish I could have said to a certain person, and she did it with style. It was Haunted, though, that really touched me. My mother died last year and until I heard Poe sing about her father, I felt that no one could understand what I was feeling, that complex mixture of sadness, anger, and need to share things long left unsaid. I saw the performance she did with her brother at Borders in Westwood, and just sat there stunned for a few moments afterwards because of all the things their words and music had made me realize. Of course, I wasn't able to say much more than "Hi, I work at Launch" when I actually met them. :/ Anyway, I was going to lurk a bit longer before posting, but I noticed that you guys were discussing T-shirts, and how to print and sell them. Well, I found a solution that works great, especially when you don't know if you'll sell enough to get hundreds printed. There is a website that allows you to get shirts, mugs, and mousepads printed with any design you want. It's *free* to sign up and then you can upload your design and start selling stuff. Basically they have a base price, which is their cost per shirt, and then you can mark it up as much as you want, to make a profit. When someone orders a shirt, they pay the base price plus your markup. The company handles all the printing and mailing. I use them for She-Net's shirts and the print quality is good.
