I've known about the Psychos for a long time, but have been reluctant to actually join, mostly because at the time, large volumes of e-mail were fairly daunting. However, after a brief stint of customer service, I can handle it pretty well now...:) I'm currently living in Virginia Beach, VA, though I'm looking to move back to St. Louis. I am 20 years old, male, and a Virgo. My turn-ons include... Wait, wrong introduction. *ahem* :) My musical tastes generally run far and wide, though generally more to rock than anything else. My current infatuations are, naturally, Poe, along with NIN, A Perfect Circle, and a smattering of wacky WWF entrance music themes...:) Anyway, if you people want to know more about me, e-mail me. I'm pretty open in general about just about anything. And, undoubtedly, you people will get more than a little annoyed at my rants from time to time. It's just my nature...:) Anyway, on the question, which might also be a request, who knows? I'm in the hunt for the lyrics to Haunted (the album, not the song). Normally, I take the time to pick out the lyrics myself (you can't imagine how difficult it is to make out Maynard Keenan's voice behind two guitars and some drums), but for some reason, I'm unable to do so for the album. Plus, I've got a lazy streak...:) Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! - -- Brian Kallenbach E-mail: sasori@home.com [O] darkarchon@azraelproductions.com Undernet: Sasori [O] Chatnet: Angelfire AIM: Kindralas [O] ICQ: 21103806 http://members.home.net/sasori/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Nov 2000 03:16:08 -0500 From: Dan Pusateri Subject: Hi I'm a new Angry Psycho and I just wanted to say hi. I just heard Poe in an interview on WBER in Rochester, NY. Poe was explaining what her new CD was about and I was immediately enticed. My father died in '89 and immediately made a connection. In retrospect I actually heard "Hello", "Angry Johnny" and Trigger Happy Jack" on WBER over the past few years. Hearing her in the interview made me want to go right and buy the new CD. I did, and I'm so glad because it is amazing! I understand that most of you Psychos have been around for about four years now, but I hope you accept us newcomers. You guys have had the privilege of knowing and loving Poe since the beginning. I hope you accept us newcomers with open arms because with this new album believe me there will be a bunch of us. I understand the way a lot of you are going to feel when a lot of people come in only knowing the new album. The only thing I can say is try to accept me (us) and enjoy Poe's success, because even as a new listener I know she's amazing and this album is going to put her over the top. The song Wild has struck a chord in me right now that I can't figure out. It is beating though my head right now, "no I've got intincts of myyyyy own" It absolutely one of the most of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. From the song Haunted, "Build a casket for my tears" is one of the best lyrics ever written. Being 33 I've heard a lot of music, this is a list I came up with of the music I've listen to over the years, so here it goes; By years old: 0-10 - Kiss, Bowie, Eagles, disco, Beatles, AM radio, etc. 11-15 - Ramones, The Clash, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, The Cars, AC/DC 16-18 - Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ramones, Scorpions, Rush, Metallica, Queensryche, Pink Floyd 18-22 - The Cure, Depeche Mode, Elvis Costello, The Smiths, U2, Echo, Maniacs, Metallica 23-now - All of the above, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, NIN, Tool, Disturbed, etc. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any news of an added date to the Borders tour for Rochester? She said that she was going to try to book a date for our area. Cheers to you all, "It's ok, you can go now", Dan Pusateri ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Nov 2000 04:15:45 EST From: JayKulpa@aol.com Subject: inarticulate nature boy so josh clayton-felt wrote music with poe for "5.5 minute hallway" well i finally put two and two together. i saw him open for tori amos several years ago in bloody akron. he was wonderful, i bought the album "inarticulate nature boy" i think it's outta print but track it down. he was also in school of fish. an EXCELLENT band. i guess i'm a little slow on the uptake. i remember hearing about him dying, because it was right after CD101 in columbus did their top ... what 101? songs, and school of fish was at #1. track the cd down. you have no idea what we lost musically. btw. i dj parties and receptions and stuff, and on wednesday played a corporate meeting for the big bear chain of groceries. i threw "walk the walk" into the mix of songs - they wanted ego boosters. 2 people came up and asked me about it. of course i gave a thorough sales pitch. later gators. jay ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Nov 2000 08:00:09 -0800 (PST) From: mark alec Subject: Re: Hi <> - --- Dan Pusateri wrote: >I understand that most > of you Psychos have been around for about four years > now, but I hope you > accept us newcomers. (It is SO Beatles. I just love that.) While I generally find that I can like almost any song pretty well, I find Haunted and Walk the Walk stick particularly well in my mind, though Control, Not a Virgin, and Lemon Meringue are all really good. There's a special soft spot in my heart for Poe's soft songs, though, due to some ironic things which happened around the time I bought Hello. I guess it really depends mostly on my mood...:) When I buy an album, I generally pick up a couple of MP3's first, see if I like enough of the album to get the whole thing. If I do, I buy it. With Haunted, I skipped all that, and just bought the album.
