Actually Whalestoe Letters continues or goes into more depth or whatever description you would like to come up with for it, into the Whalestoe Letters that are part of the appendix in House of Leaves. Mark found out while doing his book signing tour that women related more to the Whalestoe Letters than to the actual text of the book... perplexed by that, he's spawned a sequel of sorts that I guess will be available already in October.... Okay, Okay I know a lot of my visitors use 800 X 600 resolution, but my site was designed on 1024 X 768! (That's why everything seems so huge.) If you type the letter "z" on the opening page (or go to .../run_rom_run/resolve.html) you will be talked through the change using discreet instructions and visuals. If this all sounds pretty stupid to you, don't worry I did it up as a sort of sarcastic retort but I really did it just to have fun with screen capture. (Check out the dragger animation!) I was thinking about having a hidden roll-over link that activates the house growl and changes the look of the page all around as if it shifted. Also I like the whole idea of echoes and I'd really like to exploit it through the page. More pictures are on the way soon! I've done some really cool sketches based on the book, including illustrations for various chapters. As far as webcams, which I love to run and watch, the last thing the H.O.G. is about is computers... these guys (brothers) started selling guitars out of their parents basement when I was in grade school, their store is a Mecca for bands/musicians, almost a place to be seen if you are anybody in the biz, and an icon for rebellion in one of the most conservative suburbs in the area, nothing fancy here, just multiple floors and room after room of instruments, sound equipment, and sound recordings in a variety of formats.
