Go to "Folder Options," either under the "View" menu in Explorer or in the "Settings" menu in the taskbar. Then click on the "View" tab, which is the second tab in the pop up. Under "Files and Folders," find the box that says, "Hide file extensions for known file types." Uncheck the box. Now, go back to the file and replace the ".txt" extension with ".mp3", of course w/o the quotation marks. That should work. If not, I'll zip the file and upload it again. >help! > >i right-clicked, clicked on "save target as"... the box came up with the >default "save as: text document" it's in a pull-down menu & the only other >choice is "all files". when i switched it to that, the file was still >downloading as a .txt file. any ideas? > ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Jul 2000 16:24:49 EDT From: Tinksweedie737@aol.com Subject: PR: Haunted Oooooh guys I got the goosebumps from just that little clip... boy our Princess rocks! Its an amazing book. Someone here (cant remember who :B ) sent me a link to their House page which had some great stuff on it, including a translation of the letter from Johnny's mom that was written in code. Whoever that was, please share the link with all? Thanks. - -Shawn Laura Bross http://go.to/OterePyre Oooooh guys I got the goosebumps from just that little clip... boy our Princess rocks! Microsft does this for a reason...and the reason is so that, when you go on a rampage renaming files, you don't lose the extensions and forget what they were...they won't work without the extensions:-) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Jul 2000 00:08:46 +0000 (GMT) From: Cyberfan Corporation Subject: Re: Poe on Ebay jasonforpresident.com *************************************************** JK/// Jarrod Kniff President - Cyberfan Corporation jarrod@cyberfan.com ************* Comprehending Engineers ************* To the optimist, the glass is half full.
