So I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Philip Maier. I'm 22 years old. I've lived in Fremont, CA for most of my life. Needless to say to anyone who's ever been to Fremont, it's been pretty boring. I first heard Poe in late 1995 on a radio staion in Modesto when I was visiting my grandparents. The song was Angry Johnny, and I loved it. I bought her album soon after. As for my other musical tastes, they usually fall into two categories: synthpop/new wave and punk/ska. I love bands like Depeche Mode (my all-time fave), The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Mysterious Art, and Celebrate the Nun as well as The Vandals, Pennywise, AFI, No Doubt, Save Ferris, and The Aquabats. And yes, I know it's an odd mix. Well, that's it I guess. I'll go now before I fall asleep.
