The set list is awsome, the stage is awsome, and the lights are awsome! You won't be disappointed! - ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Leann Whittaker" To: angry-psychos@smoe.org Subject: npr: screaming in movies Date: Mon, 01 May 2000 00:47:41 EDT the whole not screaming in the movies thing cracks me up b/c of an incident a couple of weeks ago. I went to go see that really horrible movie Final Destination, NOT BY MY CHOICE! But during that a Nine Inch Nails song came on and I swear to god, I jumped out of my seat and screamed OH SHIT YEAH!!! NINE INCH NAILS!! yeah yeah I looked like an idiot but man I couldnt help, so Im most definite that I will repeat the action when I see the beloved POE. Hope that movie is worth paying, but i doubt it. On another issue, I am going to see NIN in Dallas on May 23rd. ANyone else going by chance? I talked to my friend Azure who went up to the Columbus Ohio show and all she could say was that it was beyond words! Anyone else have a great experience at the show?? or would it only be two of the biggest NIN fans talking that way? :-) Lovingly... Goddess bless the heathens! Thanx for the inclusion in your sentiment. I agree whole-heartedly. I do not blame Christians for the witch trials, hell, most of those killed in that era weren't even pagan. I blame ignorance, plain, simple ignorance. Here is a person with a good head on her shoulders, may the Goddess (YHVH, Allah, Azathoth... whatever) bless you. Of late it has become the club owners habit of taking a CD from me for play during the Friday afternoon haPPy h0ur, this Friday May 5th at 630PM the "Hello" CD will be played start to finish and it is SURE to spark the place talking about POE as I know last week just the sight of the "Hello" CD had half a dozen people talking about her. I have procured a number of the Barnes & Noble "Discover" Spring 2000 Great New Writers Guide that I have marked with highlighter pen pointing out "House Of Leaves" they will also be marked with www.poe.org and www.houseofleaves.com While I love to read, and the internet has offered up more than I could have hoped for, B00k reading is meant to be done with a book, the internet for me, will never replace being able to .... well.....:::: Purely without plan, because it is was finally beautiful here weather wise, I got out of the house early and off to Barnes & Nobles, I found it odd that both on the phone and at the store they cautioned me that I might want to take a look at the book, I assured them in both cases that it was of little matter to me considering the relationship to POE, which only the store cashier understood. Munchies can be quite the distraction while trying to read, so I headed off to BK for a bag of lunch, as I left with my bagged burger I realized as chance would have it that while I was headed for my favorite park Cobbs Hill with its view of the city, Highland Bowl where POE had played in May of 97 was just up the road. Perhaps because I have made it my custom to baptize all new sound devices with the "Hello" CD, it just occurred to me that nothing would be more appropriate than to rub Mark's book on the stage that POE had preformed on, so that's what I did, I sat on the edge of the concrete stage 6 feet above the only patch of tar in that grassy bowl, enjoying the heat soaking into my dark clothes and my body as I remember how packed it was that day, and I slid that big oversized novel over the same spots that surely had been stomped on by POE, while being hung off of by a bunch of PsYcHoS, but the circle won't be complete until the Music that comes from the Book is heard coming off of the Stage that the Book was rubbed on............ OK so it's Free Pizza, cheap drinks (opens 430PM I will be there) , the "Hello" CD as heard over the club sound system, and a little grass roots plugging of Poe / Mark / www.poe.org etc ... @ The Bugjar 219 Monroe Ave http://www.mapquest.com/ Rochester NY 14607 (716)454-2966 Fri 430PM 05/05/00 For more info by phone contact me by e-mail for the number.
