If not you get to watch 40 cams from a list they provide. I think you can add any of your own that you like but have not checked into it that far. It certainly appears that the list can be edited with notepad if need be. Caution you may have to view the Help files to use this..... but its not too far from intuitive... I had some fun this morning taking a look at places all over the world, it works very fast on my amd K6-2 333mhz but don't plan on running much else as even loading a yahoo page was a bit lagged. However I did find one cam of particular interest and was able to just run that one freeing up resources again. Aside from the preloaded lists, there were a few other lists available for download. http://webcam-watcher.com/ Below Cams Not Included In Lists One of my fav cams on burbon street http://www.nola.com/bourbocam/ East Main St Rochester NY where the SUN is shining !!! quick before it changes..... http://www.expcorp.com/webcam/ Other Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and downstate ny cams......... http://computerlinkmag.com/localsites/webcams.htm n j0y sp00k etc ... .... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Feb 2000 09:54:48 -0800 From: Mike and Pegi Sadler Subject: New CD info! Since I now know how to post messages :), I wanted to pass on this info to whoever hasn't gotten it yet. I sent it to a few people directly, before I figured out how to post. A close friend of mine has been working for Poe on the new CD for the past year or so, and he told me that it's due to be released in JUNE. It's closely tied to her brother's book, "House of Leaves", which will be in all Barnes & Noble stores in less than 2 weeks. It'll be put in a special section at the front of the store where everybody can see it, and all the softcover editions are going to have a card inserted in them that'll give the actual release date of the CD. He's played me 2 of the songs off the CD, and they're INCREDIBLE - miles from her first CD. The new stuff has evolved to a level where it transports you to another world! It amazes me how she could come up with the stuff she did. If these songs are any indication of the rest of the album (which my friend says is even better), then you'll be blown away. Believe me. In the March issue of "Talk" magazine, there is a short interview with Mark Z. Danielewski and POE. The interview focuses on his book "House of Leaves", but it also discusses how the book ties-in with POE's new album... Here is an excerpt: ************** Talk sits down with writer Mark Z. Danielewski and his younger sister, singer/songwriter Poe, to discuss their relationship and their reflections on a history which links his debut novel, House of Leaves, to her upcoming CD (Atlantic Records, May). TALK: Explain your collaboration. MARK DANIELEWSKI: The CD and the book exist as two separate artistic projects. However, there's no doubt that the language in my book and the music in her songs communicate at a level other people will hear. POE: Every song on the album is in the book somewhere, and in my CD notes I'm going to footnote each one, referring to the page where it appears in the book, so the book and CD essentially reference each other. They are independent reflections of a shared history; even though that history becomes fictional, even though it is definitely disassociated from actual events, its emotional chord is the same. *************** Can't wait to hear the album and read the book... Later, friends... Tony Cusumano ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V5 #46 **********************************
