How could this be around for 2 years and this is the first I have heard of it. Im not sure how long this one has been around, because it falls into the voice catagorey of net communications, somthing I have not readily embraced, having been raised on teletype communications at 300 bps I still appreciate a good text chat session with someone who passionately shares your interest, and you're like "hey I really gotta go" 3 hours after bedtime... But, a lady friend from yahoo chat sent me this address http://www.dialpad.com and gave me her #, I didnt give it much thought for a couple of days, but I had promised this lady I would give it a try, and she had gave me her # so not wanting to be rude I finaly go the place, find out its not even a download, just a Java thing... Keep in mind, if you follow my software reviews, my favorite software requires no reading of the "read me" file, if I can run it off of intuition it gets 5 stars. So I go mindlessly about filling in the blanks, and boom there I am I got a dialer, now I go looking for a way to look up other users, Im looking all over the place, can't find no way to search for other users, I'm thinking yeah how lame is this, so I call the only # I got from this lady, and sure enough it dials and rings just like a real phone, and bam she answers, and its better than this tin can sounding sprint PCS (piece crap shit) cell phone I got. So we get to talking, and I say to her how to you find other users, cuz the web site says there are like 3 million of them, hmmmm well come to find out, I called here actual phone # in San Fran, and we talked for over an hour FOR FREE :> now I gotta go cuz she says it works for over seas also and I am dying to try it out, oh yeah, aside from long distance you can call all your local friends while you stay online just by dialing it as a long distance number.
