My name is Rebecca Blum, I'm 14, and I found out about Poe on Launch magazine. I think her (their) music is unique and interesting, and the lyrics have this way of saying things so clearly ("Fly Away"). Does anyone know of sites that have MP3's of singles that aren't on "Hello?" Could you send them to me? :-) Rebecca ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Sep 1999 20:02:07 -0400 From: "sp00k@poe.org" Subject: NPR: the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). haPPy POE month :> itz time for the "NEXT" CD but while we are waiting you mite want to join me and millions of others who want to know if ET is out there hello hello? http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ SETI@home is a scientific experiment that harnesses the power of hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). I have done this... Pretty amazing. If you use your computer for business, I don't suggest that you participate. It burns heavy cpu time and slows down many daily functions. Though a screen saver activation is an option. But if you are doing business, you should never see your screen saver... =) *** For the youngsters in the crowd... This would be good for the family computer. It is an easy sell to a parent... "But MOM, I'm looking for E.T." - SERIOUSLY In addition, I know as a teacher (degree and all), I would give an A to any student who wrote a paper on the power of the internet and the grouping of people for a commmon cause.
