Im sorry I couldn't give you anything more to complain about. As far as what you did say.. What country do you live in with these wonderful radio stations? I mean I know that Ani intentionally does not allow her music on the radio for the very same reason I don't listen to it, and I am very interested in hearing where your from. As a matter of fact Ani's record label goes out of their way to sue any radio station that does play her stuff, and no one has tried since Alana Davis was allowed to cover her song "32 Flavors" and a Houston TX station (that has since gone bankrupt) played Ani's original version. As far as "underground" music.. Well I think Lena Horne would smile and find it flattering that you think her 40's hits would now be considered "underground", but then again I guess to some ignorant people (like yourself) anything that isn't played on the radio could be considered "underground" and therefore fair game for your idiotic rants. Actually Lena Hornes "Stormy Weather" was the most widely played radio song ever when in 1943 it was broadcast over every american station and over seas to our men in the Pacific, and in Europe. Not even Cher's "Believe" has done that one (to put it in perspective for you). In a country where KISS is the most popular band (see CNN.com "Top Tens") and TV Wrestling is the most popular sport (also CNN as forementioned) I am happy to subvert the mainstream paradigym. (i.e. not buy into what everyone else does) It seems you have something against "young teenagers" as you kept mentioning them in your letter, and I think that your view of people defining their individuality by what types of music they listen to is completely absurd. Music does not dictate individuality my friend, I wish it were that simple. As far as the music that I listed as stuff that I enjoyed, who are you to criticize what I enjoy or my opinions? It is people like you that are a threat to everyones individuality. It was Mark Twain who said "Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to reform.". If it wasn't for thinking differently your ignorant ass would still be in england eating crumpets. You know what? What you vioce has been around for quite a long time.. I believe it was the British who called our forefathers members of the "underground", the "revolutionaries". Well lets hear it for the revolutionaries "the misfits, the rebels, the round pegs in square holes, the ones who see things differently, ther not fond of the rules, and they have no respect for the status quo, you can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them, because they change things, they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who think they are crazy enough to change th world, are the ones who do." I like what I like, and if you are about to attempt to belittle me for that, then so be it. My music preference may seem "underground" to you, because you havent heard of it, dont understand it, or even dislike it... and that is not right. You can't be so quick to persecute others over your own myopic views. Next time maybe you should just keep your fucking mouth shut. On a more personal note- Your arguments were so weak that it makes one believe that you were maybe venting over something a little more personal, you know "letting off steam" on what you thought was an unsuspecting "young teenager". Your random comments about "young teenagers" and "kids" (as is adults dont think for themselves too) can only lead me to believe that you are really not ranting about my musical likes and dislikes but about your own anger towards the younger generation. P.S. - Its normal for your daughter to start asking questions as she gets older about your "magic lap" and you shouldn't be frietened by this, she is just growing up, and you are just a child molester... Don't bring this anger online...
