Howdy y'all! I do hope not to insult anyone, I mean not to offend anyone, but I got this situation. . . ****************************************************************************** ******************** I agreed to host a foreign student with my parents. So far, the kid is a sheer delight, he is helpful. He is 15, and I am 17. He is Spanish, which is cool. My problem is as follows: The lady in charge held a meeting with all the hosting families. She stated that sometimes the Europeans shower/bathe once a week. I thought she was exaggerating, but . . .that statement holds true. David, the Spanish kid, plays soccer with my brother and me, and when he is done he relaxes. Later as the day passes, he doesn't shower/bathe. He is a cool kid, but how do I make him shower, without embarrassment or put downs? He also lacks in the brushing the teeth department. The lady says that in that case to call his chaperone, but I don't want some old lady telling him that he NEEDS to do that embarrassing the kid. Can someone please help me? I figure since I am kinda his age, I can bring it up, but exactly how. . . e-mail me: Tragicpity@aol.com with the solution. ****************************************************************************** ******************** ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 Jul 1999 06:09:48 -0700 (PDT) From: Karen Heery Subject: Hi!!!! Who you are?,(2) Where you're from?, (3) How old you are?, (4) Where you first heard Poe?,(5) What other musicians do you listen to? and (6) Any other interesting information you wish to share. Hi, my name's Karen, and I've been getting the angry psycos stuff for a while now, and just haven't really had the energy to send out some kind of hi letter. I'm 16, and from Redding, Connecticut. My best friend introduced me to Poe, and from Poe to a whole bunch of other interesting artists. I listen to just about anything, but I really can't stand country or classical. K's Choice is in my CD player most of the time, Blink182, Sister 7, and my latest edition is the Get-Up Kids, something my guy introduced me to, and probably one of the only bands we can agree on, besides Blink. Thanks for listening, bye! === Tonight I sleep alone Because my lover, he can't get home And it feels like I'm twelve I lie here hating myself _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Fits alright, but hard to say. Rob _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
