From now on to me it is only Amazing, Good, OK, Tolerable, Sucks Ass, or "Everyone involved with the producion of this should be dropped into a vat of hydrochloric acid so as to erace any proof of their existance in the first place." In my opinion Poe is Amazing, Korn is Good, Metallica is OK, Third eye Blind is Tolerable, SilverChair Sucks Ass, and Everyone involved with the production of The New Radicals should be dropped into a vat of hydochloric acid so as to erace any proof of their existance of the first place. Ok guys, here's my spiel. Me and a friend are going on a roadtrip at the end of the summer (Aug 16/17-21) from her place in San Diego, CA to our college, Denison, in Granville, OH (which is a bit east of columbus) Anyways, we have a few days, and I was just kind of curious to see if it might be possible to meet up with an AP or two, have lunch or something, or even stay the night cause I'm not sure what we are doing about overnight accomadations, and I'm sure a house would be a lot better than a hotel room. (You ever try going down to the bar in your boxers for a snack at a hotel? :) Anyways, lemme give you our first draft of our schedule. This may change some in the next month or two before we leave, or it may even change during the trip (highly likely) and this is from memory mind you becaus my computer (which has the yped up itinerary) is once again down due to a shorted power supply for the second time.. :P Anyways: DAy 1 San Diego, CA to A city south of Salt Lake whose name I forget right now, Utah Day 2 that city, Utah to either topeka or Kansas City Day 3 Topeka/KC to St Louis Day 4 St. Louis to Granville, OH It's a quick trip with a lot of driving, but I figure we'll have some time to spend off the road. So lemme know if anyone is near our path... :) - -- Ed hunsin_e@denison.edu "In wildness is the preservation of the world" ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 00:44:09 GMT From: MistressOf Nosferatu Subject: Re: random thought I have to say (with MuCh ExCiTeMeNt) that I am probably ONE oF The BiGGesT Mazzy Star fans on this list!!! I presume this is talking about Silverchair? I would just like to say that on the whole, Silverchair is a big embarrassment to most Australian music fans. Please do not judge our music scene ( which is awesome) by Silverpram. They are lumped along with B*witched and the Spice Girls as a teenybopper band. If you are interested in hearing some Australian music, I would recommend bands like Ammonia, You Am I, Insurge, Snog, Custard, Magic Dirt, Skulker, Regurgitator, Spiderbait, Happyland and the Melniks. We produce a wide range of bands but there is a distinct Australian sound which I happen to think rocks. I assume that most people on this list live in the US, and so it would be hard to find bands like this over there; however they often do overseas tours so keep your eyes peeled (I think You Am I and Ben Lee came over last year) If you are interested, I can send anybody mp3s of the above bands and more :) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ . . a l e xh o r w o o d student @ unsw:sydney:australia . science [computer science/psychology] "Begin at the beginning," the King said gravely, "and go on until . you reach the end: then stop." . - Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jun 1999 20:03:48 -0500 From: "Anfrey Cheng" Subject: Re: silverchair heheh what about Ben Lee??
