Maybe! Geez, I'm not being helpful! With all the things that we grow up with making us who we are, I bet the Microsoft people are subconsiously predicting their future. eh? Who knows. That is fascinating though. Way off topic: I am having one of the best days I have ever had! I am actually really happy for once in a long time. I want to share all my happiness with you guys! Have a nice day! take it easy, jessica _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Yeh, we had a bomb threat at our school, too. Last Friday, I think it was. I go to a rather small junior/senior high school, and at least 60 kids ended up leaving. It was really rather dumb though, because it was just a dumb rumor and no one was evacuated or anything like that. Most of us were just kind of joking around about it. (Sorry if that sounds a bit insensitive.) I was in health class, and shortly after they announced it, the power went out. We figured someone had a grudge against our health teacher (she's a, um, not-very-nice person, to say the least), and we were just lucky enough to have health that day, lol. It does worry me, though. Pipe bombs were supposedly found in a kid's car (although I don't think that's true). But, ya see, they made an announcement about the bomb threat and everybody started freaking out and leaving. A friend of mine and I have a theory that this time the threat was fake, just to see what the school would do. Next time, however, it will be real, and the school will do nothing because they'll think it's fake again and don't want people to freak out and go hysterical crying and leave. I'm really hoping that this is only a theory, but I have a feeling it could be true. We've gotten 3 bomb threats, plus they found 2 pipe bombs on Monday. Most of the kids in my school haven't been in for the whole week, it's been pretty terrible. Even the junior highs around here are getting bomb threats, and kids are going in with guns. This is a relatively small town, too. I'd hate to see what it's like in a major city. --Jo ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 May 1999 21:56:28 EDT From: UlfDahlen@aol.com Subject: Re: Someone is ANgry at my school!! Supposedly, Moday is going to be the worst day for this. There are bomb threats all around the nation for that day, including at the school I go to. Many people here are rather worried about this, partially because of the fact that there was a report on CNN about how my highschool is the most like Columbine of all the schools in the US, and that Newsweek wrote an article mainly compairing my highschool to columbine. Oh. yay. That's nice. Hardly has Microsoft become "heroes" for only a day, and I highly doubt that that is their goal for the future.. :) Ed ed@poe.org ICQ: 15667748 AIM: ied33i http://divinity.relic.net <--with webcam! http://divinity.relic.net:8000 <--tune in with Winamp to hear me *PLUR* ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 May 1999 21:52:22 -0700 (PDT) From: Robert Cobb Subject: Bill Gates/Satan? > Food for thought - could there be a subliminal > message here? > I received this from a colleague in our > philosophy/religion department and > thought you might enjoy it. > The classically minded among us may have noted a > new TV ad for Microsoft's > Internet Explorer e-mail program, which uses the > stirring musical theme of > the "Confutatis Maledictis" from Mozart's "Requiem." > > > "Where do you want to go today?" is the cheery line > on the screen. > > Meanwhile, the chorus sings "Confutatis maledictis, > flammis acribus > addictis..." translation: "The damned and accursed > are convicted to flames > of hell."' > Anyone know who to get to "The Hall of Tourtured Souls" easter-egg in Microsoft Bussiness XL?
