Just curious. Grace Slick, as some of you, at least, must know, was the first woman in rock & roll to make an impact with intelligent, artful lyrics and a voice that could, even today, blow the socks off all but the most accomplished singers. Janis Joplin hit the scene a year or two later. Grace paved the way--actually, "bulldozed" might be more apt--for nearly all later women of guts and integrity in rock music: Siouxsie, Patti Smith, POE, Tori Amos.... I just bought her "Best of..." CD yesterday. That's why I'm thinking of her. (Unfortunately, "Best of Grace Slick" neglects many of her best work, like "Manhole", "Silver Spoon", "Greasy Heart", "Hey Frederick", "Fishman" and "Bear Melt"). Psychos who don't really know her might be surprised...I bet you'd love her! Ask me for recommendations! But for now, the APs > backstage with > Poe in Richmond is available at the following address: > http://divinity.relic.net/apsinrichmond.avi Yes, it's in AVI format, it's about 30megs in size... I also made a RealAudio version for a smaller file (it's not as good quality, but its not as big). I doubt it will stream off my site, so you may just have to download it. It's a whopping 4 megs... hehe http://divinity.relic.net/apsinrichmond.rm notice the rm vs avi.. should I make an mpg version as well? stay tuned for more exclusive video!! AP Love...
