But since I was the fellow who posted about it last time, I thought I'd at least answer you. We read a bit in my "Ancient Near East" class about this goddess called Asherah who was, according to some people, a female counterpart to God, who was just as important as God to the Hebrews. The theory is that she was written out of the religion by the authors of the Bible for their own purposes. Most scientists think this is wrong but some maverick types swear by it. What do I think? I don't really know or care. I figure if she appeals to you, there's no reason not to like her, no matter what the situation was way back when. > Date: Fri, 22 Jan 1999 00:28:52 -0500 > From: "sp00k@poe.org" > Subject: Re: Welcome to Angry Psychos >>#4- i first heard P(*)E on the radio, and fell in love. now i am >>waiting anxiously till February for the new album!! > February? Might've heard it from someone on the list, you know, Sp00ky...someone in the know (Robby?) said not to expect it till February "at the earliest", so I know I marked down February as when the new album comes, becuz I'm the optomistic sort. Probably some other people did too. Twalen Fleety MonkeyMan _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
