I just thought of something that might enhance the AP fun factor, which I guess is pretty low right now since everyone is complaining about the list. How many Psychos have bands or just like to play music? I bet alot. So my idea is, since live P(*)E tape trees have been "banned" by Poe, why don't we make a tape of Angry-Psycho covers of Poe songs? I think it would be super-rockin'. I hesitated to suggest this becuz I fear it will result in me having to organize it all by myself, which will be scary, but maybe Rusty or someone who helped on the original tape trees could help me. I don't know. I just think it would be fun. And if we finished it by March, it could be a birthday present to Poe. Hey guys, I remember a few months ago there was an FTP site that had lots of non-album Poe tracks in MP3. I downloaded most of them but there were a couple I never got a chance to... I think it was Ed's site... Well, anyways, if it's still around, could somebody give me the address. Thanks, ~Shannon~ PS - If I ever get my new CD-R drive working, I'll put the non-album Poe songs I have onto CD and offer them to APs (however few are still active) at just like the price of the discs and postage... Maybe someone has already done this, but it seems like a good idea to me so let me know... I know it's not as good as new Poe, but it's something! I hope it's not terribly illegal or anything as long as no one's making any money off of it... If anyone knows who made the original MP3s, let me know, so I can make sure they don't mind. Now I just need to figure out why my computer won't recognize the CD-Recorder drive. If anyone is an expert at stuff like this and wants to help, fell free to e- mail me. Later. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Jan 1999 20:47:26 -0500 (EST) From: Rebecca Lynn Clark Subject: Re: An idea for AP fun that is a great idea...I would submit something if i had a band, cuz lord knows i sing poe enough...i would just need instrumentals...=) I for one have been trying to get a band together for years...but something has always stopped me from achieving my dream... Blender CD-ROM magazine 3.1 - interview. Out of print, hard to find, all that. Shrinkwrap sealed, may or may not be used. Make an offer. Hello remix CD - made #1 on the Billboard charts (go Poe!). Includes the album version and 6 remixes. Includes lyrics that were "split from the master." $6 Hello promo CD - LP, radio edit, and band versions. The band version single is out of print now. Does not have the front cover sticker for some reason. $5 Today promo CD - from the Great Expectations soundtrack. Take this if you don't want to buy the soundtrack (but you should, it's a nice one ::P). Jewel case sticker. $4 Trade offers welcome, but the only Poe things I don't have at this point are The Peak Lounge Live Tracks Volume 2 2CD set, the X-96 Cheap-live X (KXRX Salt Lake City) CD, the German Hello single, and the radio shows, so unless it's not listed on the discography, I probably won't want it ;P But tape trades (not for these CDs) are still encouraged on http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Fortress/1178/ - --Michele ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V4 #17 **********************************
