Has a nice ring to it...more interesting than Xeno. Nice-Pagan-type-people, I've been fairly clear on your religion for a while, and as far as it goes...I think its a quite nice religion. Far more interesting than any of the 'standard' ones. And if you think being a Pagan in the bible belt is bad, try being atheist there. And on our lovely president, Clinton is a politician....they're going to lie, cheat and do whatever they can to keep their popularity up. You gotta keep in mind that Clinton probably isn't much loved by most people right now, for good reason. He's also come this close to being impeached and isn't out of the fire just yet. I agree with you, I think the bombing is a political diversionary tactic...and a damn stupid move. War is hell, a war about politics makes it all the worse. I just think that American politics(or maybe just American everything, who knows...) are totally screwed up.... And, on a completely frivilous and irrelevant note...I got glasses today. This is "fun" (well, under the circumstances). I keep hearing lines from William Butler Yeats: The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned. I don't believe, though, that this is a diversionary tactic from the President; Speaker Gingrich has stated that he's been deeply involved for the past two weeks with the planning of the strikes, and supports the President's decision to go forth with them. I don't believe in violence, but I also don't know what choice we (as the U.S.) really had: not to retaliate? to simply count our dead and shrug? As a Buddhist, I've taken a vow of harmlessness, so the thought of violence sickens me...but I'm savvy enough to realize, too, that Clinton had to do *something*: let us all hope, pray, cross our fingers, or whatever works, that his decision was right. "They will call the dead women and children "Collateral Damage" What did they call the women and children in Oklahoma City????" And of equal importance, but always forgotten: What did they call the women and children in Waco Texas??? What do we call the the U.S. authorities who murdered THEM? Who is accountable for that, nobody. _____________________________________________________ >Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com > >------------------ RFC822 Header Follows ------------------ >Received: by mail.rmc.org with ADMIN;20 Aug 1998 16:45:10 -0600 >Received: from smoe.org [204.167.97.154] > by mermaid.shore.net with esmtp (Exim) > id 0z9dMD-0005Wz-00; Thu, 20 Aug 1998 18:39:04 -0400 >Received: from localhost (daemon@localhost) > by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/listq-jane) with SMTP id SAA06094; > Thu, 20 Aug 1998 18:37:43 -0400 (EDT) >Received: by smoe.org (bulk_mailer v1.10); Thu, 20 Aug 1998 18:37:43 -0400 >Received: (from majordom@localhost) > by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/listq-jane) id SAA06049 > for angry-psychos-outgoing; Thu, 20 Aug 1998 18:36:55 -0400 (EDT) >Received: from hotmail.com (f243.hotmail.com [207.82.251.134]) > by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/daemon-mode-relay2) with SMTP id SAA06043 > for ; Thu, 20 Aug 1998 18:36:52 -0400 (EDT) >Received: (qmail 6463 invoked by uid 0); 20 Aug 1998 22:36:20 -0000 >Message-ID: <19980820223620.6462.qmail@hotmail.com> >Received: from 209.179.6.24 by www.hotmail.com with HTTP; > Thu, 20 Aug 1998 15:36:20 PDT >X-Originating-IP: [209.179.6.24] >From: "Wag The Spice" >To: angry-psychos@smoe.org >Subject: Sudan,Afghanistan, and Langley Virginia >Content-Type: text/plain >Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 15:36:20 PDT >Sender: owner-angry-psychos@smoe.org >X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "angry-psychos-request@smoe.org" >X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. >Precedence: bulk > ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 16:53:21 PDT From: "Choklit Cow" Subject: Re: npr: Is Poe Religious? So how did this happen out of curiosity? Why are you such a mean-spirited unkind person? Of course, the obvious guess would be either an extremely small penis or a complete lack of sexual ability and prowess. Often that causes a person to become extremely withdrawn and limit their conversations to childish comments and a perverse thrill in the discomfort and unhappiness of others. Whatever it is, you're obviously trying to hide some serious flaws by attempting to look 'better' than other people. Perhaps the feeling of superiority makes you feel like a better person yourself? Well. .get a life. . your mind, your heart, and your personality are the only things you have that you hvae complete control over. . and you've used what appears to be actually a somewhat intelligent mind to be a complete and total dork. And not even a nice dork. A mean and childish dork. That's bad even as dorks go. - -Bill > racial prejudice.... > > no, sorry. that's not racial prejudice. > > prejudice would be saying something like, "all apaches are drunk > alcoholics > who are good for nothing." > > i simply asked a question about his grandfather. the reason i asked this > question is because it seemed like there might have been some > problems with > fetus development somewhere in proudwolf's family and i wanted to know if > maybe the bottle was a heavy part of his mother's life. with an alcoholic > father it might be very easy for momma proud foot to become an > alkie and then > have a deformed baby with a lower mental capacity such as proud > foot. it was > not based on some idea that all apaches are alkies. why would i > say that? it's > silly... > > if you're going to convict me of a crime...at least frame me with > gloves that > fit. > > > > -Xeno, > http://travel.to/xeno/ > ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 19:48:09 PDT From: "Kathryn Blair" Subject: Fwd: Re: NPR: >From xeno11@aol.com Thu Aug 20 16:35:18 1998 >Received: from Xeno11@aol.com > by imo27.mx.aol.com (IMOv14_b1.1) id RNKVa04231 > for ; Thu, 20 Aug 1998 19:31:04 -0400 (EDT) >From: >Message-ID: >Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 19:31:04 EDT >To: mysticserpent@HOTMAIL.COM >Mime-Version: 1.0 >Subject: Re: NPR: "proudwolf" >Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII >Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit >X-Mailer: AOL 3.0 for Windows 95 sub 52 > >yes...it is. silly as well. the very idea of a vampire is idiotic. > ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 21:27:12 PDT From: "Asuka Jenius" Subject: just so you know - hello all! i just want to let you know i'm going away for a week so i won't respond right away to any mail...and thanks to mailing list(s) you might be bounced - sorry in advance - i'll talk to you all when i return :) Aska-chan in Disney World!! *Asuka i know i'm forgetting someone... - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- *Asuka Jenius : Live Action Anime Girl guvava@hotmail.com http://members.tripod.com/~newtgirl "...if there's nothing wrong with me; there must be something wrong with the universe." ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V3 #237 ***********************************
