In "Fingertips" POE samples a snippet from a song called "Like a Lover", which was recorded by "Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66". Oddly enough, I was looking through my parents' old record collection and I found the album with this song. Maybe we could put a clip of this song online, so all of the PsYcHoS can hear the orginal clip. Is there anyone out there who would like to make it available on their website? Let me know. Take Care. Anybody know how it is? Yeah, she did. The song is kinda cool, it was an extemporaneous duet, and it sounds kind of like it, which I think in a lot of ways is a lot cooler than if it had been really planned out. From what I understand POE and Fastball where just in the same studio at the same time, and some one from Fastball asked POE if she would sing on thier album. The CD as a whole is OK, if you don't like Fastball, the one track with POE isn't really worth buying the CD. OK, unrelated to that, has any one picked up the Harvey Danger album? I don't have it, but I have heard it quite a few times. If you liked Fountains of Wayne you will probably like the Harvey Danger CD. well, later Mike ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 13:13:43 -0400 (EDT) From: Michael Anderson Subject: Re: NPR covers Choklit Cow wrote: > > i know this topic is getting old but > Manson did an amazing cover > of Gary Numan's Down in the Park. > It can be found on Manson's Lunchbox single > Hey, if you are a Gary Numan fan, there are a couple of Tribute albums out. They are both really cool. I have the first one-- two CDs of Gary Numan covers. Being a Rentals fan, Matt Sharps is one of my favorites, but there is every one on there from Moloko to EMF, cool CD, check it out if you get a chance. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 15:49:53 -0400 (EDT) From: Happy Fantom Subject: npr - im a dork hi poezers, i just thought i'd share this with you...yesterday i went to meijer because i wanted purple cow. well, we saw this guy who looked exactly like kevin nealy (or whatever his name is) from sat. night live. turns out it was him. just chillin at the local meijer. ;) oh, yeah, something else. the crowd at the tori amos show kinda sucked. really rude. i hate arenas. bah. has anyone seen Siouxsie Sioux yet? im curious to know how that show is...i got tickets for the state theater in detroit. later toriniss, steve "The cross has been used as a weapon, as it has been used against all women throughout the ages.
