Close to a year ago in Utah, Poe said that she had an idea in her head, with a 1% chance. She wanted to release the new album on DVD, with tons of extras. I personally thought the idea was kind of out there, but a lot changes in a year... "Full On The Mouth is pioneering the field of DVD singles, releasing the world's first for the track "People Mover" from its debut album, COLLIDE." http://www.atlantic-records.com/nonframes/News_Events/index.html?articleID= 597 (All on one line) for the full story. Since it's Atlantic, mebbe they'd support the idea after all...just a thought. In other Poe-related futuristic-type ventures, I read on Usenet that Apocalypse was delayed because they were gonna take out all the weird cool 3-D stuff/rendering/whatever it is and make it a more traditional setup. Those who may have sampled Sneaker Chat in the past may have found it slow and buggy. Live Universe has vastly improved the quality of connections. The POE "Room" is one of the first registered, while you are there you can get a listing of all other rooms, the number of occupants, and with a click you can "jump" to another room. I think those of you who enjoy chat but are not IRC enabled will find the variety of "Rooms" refreshing. To enter the POE Room directly copy and paste this URL into your browser. http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Lounge/1971/poechat.html Be prepared with a nickname that you can/must register (eYe am Sp00k) or enter as a guest. Your visit will help spread the word on POE as other users from other rooms will stop in and ask what POE is about. You will also notice the POE icon on the room, if ya click on it you will get a new window that takes ya to www.poe.org ...or that cyberfan place :> Sp00k@poe.org Duz Luv POE http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Lounge/1971/poechat.html ================================================================ FREE Rinx.com BBS [irc, chat, emails, and more] (716) 758-1000 for info, send mail to: jross@rinx.com or void@rinx.com http://www.rinx.com Telnet IP: 198.70.60.183 /check it out/ =========================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 May 1998 16:45:37 PDT From: "Da Poe Junkie" Subject: Apocolypse delayed till spring '99 I contacted our major distributers up here... and sorry to say that Apocalypse has been delayed until SPRING 1999. I'm writing this 'cause the e-mail told me to. My name is Andrew Tulmont I live in a subburb of Vancouver BC Canada I am 17 and my birthday is in 3 days. I found out about the angry-psychos on the net when I was looking for stuff about Poe. I first heard Poe at my friend's house. I told him about the angry-psychos and he's going to join now. :) His name is David Furlong. I like Poe because she combines harsh lyrics with a soft, smooth voice. And I think she's pretty. :) I also listen to... Smashing Pumpkins, Nick Cave, Finger Eleven / Rainbow Butt Monkeys, David Bowie, Portishead, The Tragicaly Hip, 5440, Moist, and others. I'm going to get a picture of me to put up on the site. I already know which one I'm going to use. It was taken from a Film & TV project where I played THE 11:00 BACON MAN. I don't normally look THIS wierd, but it's just a cool picture. what else... Oh, I play guitar. If I was in a band that played alternative music, we would play Poe. I'm in a band right now called Gib & the Wabe. We play blues, rock n roll, jazz, and blues stuff. We're pretty good. that's pretty much it. :) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V3 #142 ***********************************
