AniD on KOH Ok, so, i thought it was obvious that Jesse was an actor that mtv hired. he is just an act. that whole contest was fixed....who would really vote for an idiot like that? its kinda sad since thousands of people thought the contest was serious and showed up at mtv studios thinkin they might have a chance. When i saw him on that one show with Tori Amos i thought it was pretty clear that he was a phony. i mean come on, does anyone REALLY talk like that? I mean, besides people age 5 and under. And think. his last name. Camp. i think that says it all right there... mtv was cool in the 80s. now they just suck and play stupid sitcoms (what is with that texas show anyways?!). Ok, im gonna stop caring about this now. hehe. OH coolniss: all you ani fans. she is guest starring on King of the Hill. i dont watch the show, so i dont know when its on (coulda already happened for all i know). But i saw a preview and it looked pretty funny. She did the voice for some feminist rock singer. It was a mother's day special and she was complaining about how it was just a hallmark holiday that oppresses females. I laughed. so ani peoples, be sure to catch it, i think you'll enjoy (the character actually even looks a little like ani:) Ok, im gonna go SHSHSHOCK myself sane in the choirgirl hotel... later ;) steve "Through the years We all will be together If the Fates allow..." --Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas "How many Fates turn around in the overtime Ballerinas that have fins that you'll never find You thought that you were the bomb Yes, well so did I" -- Tori ~ SPARK On Wed, 6 May 1998, Thu Ngo wrote: > > Hi! > > I know this is sooo off-topic, but someone needs the help of caring, > compassionate people! > > For those of you who've been keeping up with MTV lately, you probably > know who Jesse Camp is. I thought it was all a joke. If they do get rid of him, it wont really bother me since (sorry folks) I think he is a HORRIBLE VJ.Not because of the way he dresses or anything like that, but because you can't understand half the things he says. Although if MTV is getting rid of him just because they view him as a "freak show" that's wrong. They let the viewers vote and pick their favorite, so basically MTV dug it's own grave. I've never thought much of MTV so it doesn't surprise me that they are firing him. Howdy fellow APs! :) hehe seems like i'm finally posting schtuff here! ;) Well, i need help from all of ya'll... i know this has probably come up several times on the list, but i'm writing an article on Poe (i bet there have been posts just like this one!). Since practically NO ONE here (Chile) knows about Poe, i've decided to write the article for my English class and publish it in the school's literary magazine. I've gotten lots of people in my school hooked on Poe, so that's pretty kewl :) I'm always carryin' my Poe CD and tape trees with me so whenever someone gives me a ride i put in the tape, or if someone has a discman i play the CD for them. Ooops, i was getting a bit distracted there.... well i need some help... what can i write in this article? there's so much i just can't decide... i know it's a pretty vague question, so here's some more. The main focus of my article is gonna be to introduce Poe to the readers. What info can i put and all? I also want to let forth the light upon us Angry Psychos. Well, any info/stats on Poe would be good (it's handy to have a data sheet when i write... so if someone can make that for me, i'd be eternally grateful), and sub-topics and ideas on what to write about will be appreciated. Thank ya'll VERY VERY much! =) <3 <-- woohoo!! i now know what it is! :))) Anfrey - --- Anfrey Cheng * torito@rdc.cl * anfrey@poe.org http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/1781/ http://wwp.mirabilis.com/173131 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 7 May 1998 18:46:35 EDT From: O Croak Subject: NPR: About Tori Tori Amos is in the FREE magazine called Request. I've got a few comments on all this Tori stuff. 1. Tori's album is BRAND spanking new, so anyone interested in it will not have a hard time finding Tori Propaganda. 2. This a Poe newsgroup. Some NPR stuff is fine - whatever... but as a non-Tori fan, I get a little agitated when there's a whole slew of this Tori stuff in my mailbox. Tell the tori group, ya know? Besides, that "NPR" label doesn't usually stop me from reading mail, because sometimes there's some good stuff. Basically, as a bottom line, I like a newsgroup to be about it's name. In this case, Poe. Instead, I'm getting more and more messages that are more like using this place as a conversation spot for anything in the universe that's occuring, and not POE. I mean, if this place is quiet, that's ok with me. I think this is why a lot of people unsubscribe saying "I can't keep up with all the mail" ... because it's annoying. But if it was a large part Poe stuff with a couple NPRs here and there, it wouldn't be as obnoxious. - -jon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 7 May 1998 16:19:17 -0700 (MST) From: CYBERFAN Subject: NEW POE MUSIC NEW POE MUSIC...
