I am Ian Martines from Odessa, Texas. I'm 20 yrs old and attend UTPB (Lamer school). However, I am moving to Austin this summer to attend UT. I don't know any one there, so if any AP's in Austin get together regularly or want to show me around town, private email me. I listen to Poe, duh, Veruca Salt, Artificial Joy Club, Sarah Mclachlan, Jewel, basically anything with a beautiful female voice. I love live music. I like bands who may not be popular in the mainstream, but give each show everything they have. Some examples, Vallejo, Sister 7, Soak.(all Texas bands that rock). Anyway, enough about me. I have been listening to Poe since Hello came out. I think this was asked before, but I never saw a straight answer. What is the meaning of "sweet bird of prey" in Fly Away? I love this song because it speaks to me right here (thumps his chest). But I can't figure out the symbol of the bird. Any way I want to thank Jason for the FTP site of rare Poe recordings. And a question to Ed (nipple pierced guy). How much pain did that involve? I was thinking about getting mine done tonight, and was wondering how many beers to drink before going.
