[Rick Masters Subject: Re: angry-psychos-digest V3 #83 hi gang, i have just recently signed up for the list. i finally got a computer here at home so i have time to play. I was reading through the list and found some things about tape trees. i am curious as to what they are and how i can get them. All i have of poe so far is the hello cd, great expectations soundtrack, lounge a palooza, and the hello single. i think i may still have her spotlight from much music on tape, but its been two years so i dont know. anyway, if you have any suggestions as to where i can get some other stuff, i will be greatful. thanx J ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Mar 1998 03:08:17 -0500 From: Ed Hunsinger Subject: Re: Getting hard-to-get Poe stuff This is a post for those people who don't have much of Poe's stuff other than her released stuff... Jason Helton has so generously donated space and time to keep an FTP site going. It's got a good amount of live and hard to find stuff, and if you have any requests from either tape tree, or other random Poe appearances (lovelines, etc.) send it to me, and I'll see what I can do... I'm out of commission for about a week right now cause my harddrive is packed, but I should be putting up some more new stuff soon... in the meantime enjoy what's up there... "Ok sounds great Ed, how do I get it??" Well Bob, just point your little browser to ftp://anonymous@198.82.69.90/pub/Enter/ (or, if you have HTML supporting email, just click below...) Give me Poe or give me Cheesy Poofs! or better yet, use a good FTP program like CuteFTP or WS_FTP and go to 198.82.69.90 and go to 'pub' and then 'Enter' and you should start seeing cool stuff... "Well Ed, this sounds too good to be true, what's the catch?" No catch Bob.. ok well a little catch.. you'll need an MP3 player as almost all of the files are in MP3 format, and you may need an unzipping program (pkunzip, WinZip, etc.) You can find WinAmp on the FTP site, and that's a recommended MP3 player, but as for unzippers, do a search for WinZip on just about any search engine... And remember, send your requests to ehunsing@bellsouth.net or to ed@poe.org... :) Ed ed@poe.org Nipple Update: Lost ball on ring surfing with Sister Hazel, bought new ring which is a little bit bigger, no more soreness... :) http://members.aol.com/ied33i <-Getting updated sometime this week At 02:34 AM 3/23/98 EST, Jaysun Cee wrote: > >hi gang, i have just recently signed up for the list. i finally got a computer >here at home so i have time to play. HEy, I've got two live tapes of Poe that don't have a title other than Poe- Tape 1 and Poe- Tape 2... they aren't the tape trees.. they have live stuff from The Whiskey in 96 and Smashing Pumpkins live from GM place, Vancouver, BC on 1-8-97 on one tape and Lee's palace (3-2-96) and another Vancouver, BC from 1996 sometime.... anyone know where these originated and whether we can give them a better name? I'm thinking Random Live Poe Tape 1 and Random Live Poe Tape 2.. anyone know what I'm talking about? If you are using Netscape, but in something other than Windows, please let me know what operating system you are using. I as working on a web page and I was recently made aware that some of my code wasn't in the html standards, but it is supported by Netscape and Internet Explorer. So I'm trying to get an idea of how many people would have trouble viewing the page with it's intended formatting and I thaught that this would be a good place to look becuase we're more advanced than average computer users, and hence, less likely to be using prepackaged software. Thanks in advance, Jason just for refeence, I use Netscape in Linux, Redhat 4.2 :-) - -- "Had they but courage equal to desire" - W.B.
