I agree completely.I don't know how anyone can say that Tori is a commercially produced artist. She strugled for years to get people to accept her true music. She even had to go to Europe eventualy because record companys in the U.S. didn't think people wanted to hear that kind of music.I also find it very insulting that someone would catagorize Tori with the likes of Jewel,Sara McLachlan, and others like them. And you can't say I'm narrow minded.I like all types of music. No real reason; I just thought she was milking the "I was raped, pity me" thing a bit too much (ironic for a Fiona Apple fan. But I just sort of didn't like her, the same way I don't like Matchbox 20. No reason, it just doesn't really click.)... but then I heard Finn and was like, "Hmm, pretty cool." Then Siren came and I was blown away. It is the coolest song! So now I am an avid fan. The Mono song blew me away too... my friend borrowed the CD from me and she has now spent about six hours trying to find some variation of the screen name "Ingenue" that is available. I love that. The Reef song would be REALLY good if that guy's voice wasn't so annoying.. the Duncan Sheik song annoys me- no real reason, it just seems to go by too slowly. The Chris Cornell song is pretty cool, the Scott Weiland song scares me but it's addictive. The Poe song kicks some absolute ass. It reminds me of Trigger Happy Jack in the fact that there's so much guitar influence. It's groovy, baby! And today is the day.. we break FREE... I've been recommending that CD to everybody I come across. Anyway, gotta go print out some tabs now.
