Since poeple keep abandoning things, and my girlfriend has done all that cool poe stuff (discog, faq, guitar tab compilation, links page, etc.) I figure it'd be cool to actually do something poe related for the nice little online fan club... so, I'm just writing this to say, I'm willing to work on the Photo Album thing, I have a scanner right here, I can get a lot of space and such, and I'll make things work.... I get along well with others, I have all of my shots, and I think I do okay with SOME of my web projects.... Up to you guys... ANy comments, rantings, or opinions? > Jon I think there is definately a difference between Poe live and on her studio tracks, I think a large part of that is because there isn't the freedom to do a lot of things she does on the album in a live show that has to tour-and if she did it would kind of destroy the musicianship, ie using only samples and drum machines (not that there is anything wrong with bands that doe, it just isn't Poe) So yeah, there are a lot of unique things on the album that are really cool, and live shows are more rock influenced, but I think they should be. So both sounds are good. I agree that in many ways the album sound is better, but in concert the rock sound and atmosphere is better than if Poe tried to recreate certain things on the Album. Thats about it I guess ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Jan 1998 14:29:17 +0000 From: "Jason K Helton" Subject: Re: Poe live vs. Album > but I personally prefer the album sound over the > live sound. I love the album but the shows are beyond description. From what I've read (very little, considering how much mail I have yet to read), I've been left to continue the Photo Album project. If I am wrong, please correct me. I wouldn't enjoy coming off as..erm, pompous. I have had one volunteer for AP picture scanning e-mail me. If there is anyone else, e-mail me, and I'll make a list for those unfortunate enough to not have scanner access. Last I heard, www.kitana.com was a temporary site for the album, and that the owner of angry-psychos.com was going to put the member pages up, and so on. If there was any change, please inform me. Last but not least, I will re-add APs to kitana.com, but I only have a few profiles.
