But, the txt/zip combo is like an informal standard, and if any of you noticed, distributing the zip ensures that the txt, which gives credit to those deserving, will also be distributed. I've never heard of "credit" given for mp3s.. I mean, it's really nice to give them, and I know we're a closely knit family and all- but is this going to be the only .zip using MP3 SITE out there? come on... I don't want to get any un-needed wintel crap... how'd you feel if I used stuffit for some cool files? just leave them as mp3s please... we can make a little site somewhere to give credit. ************************************************************ * http://jragon.linex.com * ************************************************************ Lots of strange art by me ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Jan 1998 16:30:38 -0800 (PST) From: Jon Bell Subject: Re: MP3 Update #2 > >uhhh. err... zipping files doesn't save much space at *all*... it > >compacts them like 2k... can you leave them as Mp3s like most ftp sites > > He's right Ed... This not an MP3 SITE....... 2. you post too much 3. you whine too much Instead of bitching about it you could have simply said that it's inconvenient to unzip on a Mac. 4.
