I read the posts about how the list is 'dead' lately and everything, and so I made a very important decision: I'm going to post everything that I have to say about everything Poe realted - maybe some coversation will come of it... although I totally agree with whoever said the list is just resting. I mean, there hasn't been any Poe info for a really long time. Every time I read something that says "poe info" I read it really quickly to see what's up but it's usually a joke. a cruel joke if you ask me ;) ************************************************************ * http://jragon.linex.com * ************************************************************ Lots of strange art by me ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Dec 1997 00:03:31 -0800 (PST) From: Jon Bell Subject: for the real fan I've got a few 1st gen tapes, but I think that I've distributed them to the point that they've gotten to most everyone that wants one. however, I was reading this tape tree stuff and I thought if anyone really wanted a little collectors item bad enough, I'll make you a copy.... it's a 30 min (or so) conversation I had with Poe on a golf course. she talks about maryln manson, catholic school, escher, and all sorts of stuff. Well one of are players nick is named Psycho and one day after a match in Dallas we were enjoying some sothing suds and someone put this CD in and played this song that said You cant talk to a Psycho like a normal human being. Well needless to say it did not smell real good. I went back to the car to find out who that was on that CD met one of my now dear frinds LEE. She was the one with the cd and the towels. Anyone else that thinks that this is a good idea let me know, personally. Anyone that could actually make the shirts themselves, let me know how easy or hard this would be to make, and how much it would cost. Well, I've made my post for the month. Once you find her she greets you with "Hi I'm Poe, welcome to my virtual fashion shoot where I play an object." (Launch is a cd rom magazine) and that is very true, She tries on 5 outfits and you get to pick which one she wears. Once you pick an outfit you can make her spin around so you can see all of her. After you get done playing dress up with her you can go to an interview where she talks a little about modeling. She did say that she used to do a bit of modeling but she didn't like it because she had no control over things like what she wore and what her make-up looked like. Oh yeah it was in Launch 11 if any one wants to try and find it. It was well worth the $10 I had to pay when I got it. It also has interviews and live performances of Silverchair and Evan Dando of Lemonheads. Its almost a year old so I think the only place you can get it is from Launch (http://www.mylaunch.com/guest/MyMusicPage.asp is the fastes way to order it) Jesse HARVEY, KRISTI S wrote: > > hey all.... > some time last year in a magazine called LIVE! poe modeled on like > 4-6 pages and looked fabulous!!!! that is all i know of her modeling. > i was so impressed though that that magazine had poe featured that i > wrote them a letter of appreciation and they printed it!!!!! > > lata, > kristi *starr* ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Dec 1997 00:44:18 EST From: Flickergrl Subject: MY angry psycho hannukah song In a message dated 12/9/97 5:39:54 AM, you wrote: >I had a little dreidl, I made it out of clay >and when it's dry and ready, then dreidl i shall play um... i have a little dreydel. i found it in my car and when i want to see POE, i travel really far (and give up a guitar. lol) dreydel dreydel dreydle, i made it out of clay and when it's dry and ready, in my town POE will play and i wont have to fly or drive or hitchhike really far away lol. i updated my bootleg website. look at it!! http://members.aol.com/flickergrl/vault.html i'd like some fiona apple, counting crows, lisa loeb, and of course..
