There is this really wonderful folk singer, Ellis Paul, who is form the Bosotn Area. He is getting known at a rather rapid pace in the folk scene, and he already has a few albums out. His most recent is called "Carnival of Voices," and Patty Griffin sings background vocals on it! I found an email address for him, and I wrote to him thinking that, since he is on tour, I would not hear from him (or his manager, didn't know if the email would go directly to him). I even emailed him one of his poems (gee, anyone surprised? ;) I got an email back form him, much tomy surprise! I had asked him about upcoming concerts in Boston. He told me that the only time within the relatively near future that he will be playing in BOston is on New Year's Eve...he will be playing two sets at a plce in Harvard Square called Club Passim. Anyone interested in meeting up? Ellis is an INCREDIBLE singer, and he is definitely someone who I think most of y'all will like! This would definitely be a great opportunity for any of you Boston area ITWers who want to do something fun and be exposed to a different artist and who want to have fun together. This is an INCREDIBLY great opportunity for you EDAs who can't afford to make that long costly trip to Las Vegas for the Jewel & Steve Poltz concert. And this owld be an AWESOME idea for you Angry Psychos/POE fans to hang out to some AWESOME mellow folky music! If anyone is interested, let me know...I know that Phil Poje (EDA) and I will be there (hee hee hee Phil I didn't tell you YET, but we will be there ;)! love you all stephanie Stephanie Maria Kartalopoulos We should be very greatful to have a kartalst@hugse1.harvard.edu limited body...like mine or like The Greek Poet Chyck yours. After you enter, they will send you a coupon for $5 off anything they have. It might take a few days to get the coupon. Soooo....the 'Hello' maxi-single vinyl is $7.49. Take $5 off and the vinyl is actually $2.49 + shipping (about $2.95). I pretty much got a $5 CD for just the price of shipping. (The CD was Tara MacLean's "If You See Me" EP...she rocks).
