Late on Wednesday night my Dalmatian, Clara, gave birth to 7 purebred puppies. There are 5 girls and 2 boys. In my effort to get them all GOOD homes, I come to you all. Because we only have the papers on Clara (Long Story), we can offer them for $125. I know that asking for money is taboo on this list, But I don't care about the money. I want the puppies to have good homes, and I don't want to worry about them afterwards. As members of the list, I feel that we are worthy candidates. If anyone would be interested, please e-mail me privately at MSzym@ibm.net . I would be honored if even one person on the list took one. The pup could be a mascot of some sort. Thanks again. NPC is my own little acronym for "No Poe Content." Yousee, I am also onthe Jewel List (the EDAs), also a smoe.org list, and NJC is our acronym for "No Jewel Content"...just a way for those who are not interested in reading a ton of email to know that they can quite posibly delete the post with nor egrets. =) My name is Stephanie, and I am 20 years old. I live in a town right outside Boston (heh...seems like almost all Bostonians live somewhere on the outskirts... ;). I first got to know Poe's music the night before Tori Amos's _Boys for Pele_ album came out. Atlantic was doing a promotion for the Tori album at a cafe by the college I was attending in NYC, and they were distributing Poe promotional tapes. I fell in love with Poe from the minute I first listened to her! And I have educated my friends on the stylin' sounds of Miss Poe herself. =) Poe fans are starting to grow by the dozen it seems! Music I listen to seems like a rather eclectic grop, though I am *really* into acoustic/folk/singer/songwriter type of stuff. My favourites include Tara MacLean, Jewel, Indigo Girls, Mike Scott, Lisa Loeb, Jane Kelly Williams, Neil Young, Elizabeth Hummel, The Rugburns, Ani DiFranco, Kristen Barry, and stuff like that. I also listen to Greek music, opera, Chopin, jazz, blues, and lots of other stuff. =) I am also a poet...hoping to get noticed somehow, some way, in the Boston open-mic/SLAM scene. My writing is everything to me. So, as lame as this post is, this is me! Sorry for the degree of cheesiness to this post, I am normally this great writer (heh ask anyone on the JEWEL list...), but it's been a long day at work...and I am on the run... take care my fellow psychos! on IRC: StephPoet on the Undernet take care stephanie Stephanie Maria Kartalopoulos We should be very greatful to have a kartalst@hugse1.harvard.edu limited body...like mine or like The Greek Poet Chyck yours. Cabanillas" Subject: The Taja-Poe Connection Hey, all. I've been on the list for a bout two weeks now just reading the posts like a good newbie. It's about time I mentioned something. First I'll intro myself. Hi, my name is chris. I'm 20, from virginia, i dig poe. I listen to just about everything from Nirvana and NiN to Dave Mathews and Rusted Root. Recently I started digging this new chick (no offense), Taja Sevelle. She's rather groovy and all so cool. Only one thing. If any of you have ever heard of her or have the CD, Toys of Vanity, listen to track 3, Wake Before I Die. Listen for a repeating horn tune and tell me if it doesn't sound a hell of a lot like something poe uses on one of her tracks. I can't think of the name just now. I'm pretty sure of it. just listen and see if you don't hear it. It's starting to freak me out. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Nov 1997 21:24:58 -0500 (EST) From: VolcanoFem@aol.com Subject: I wish I didn't care.... Hello hello hello (hey, I bet you get that one a lot, huh? My humblest apologies). I'm Anna, I live in Atlanta, GA, I'm 15, I play guitar, cello, and piano. Other than POE, I absolutely adore Veruca Salt, K's Choice, Fiona Apple, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Marcy Playground, and Letters to Cleo. I'm about a year and a half late in joining Angry Psychos.. sometimes I'm a bit of a procrastinator. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I saw Poe on PBS' On Tour on Saturday night, she and the band played How Long, they kicked ass. (To redeem myself I've liked her ever since Hello was released). This is a stupid question, but are there any Poe posters anywhere to be found? (I'm redecorating the room we'll loosely call my "personal space" ;)). I can categorically say that you are not a bigger bananahead. Rock on with your frock on. I know that I am some neophyte (at the compuer lab where I work that word is the "PC" way of saying newbie...heh...neophyte...) to this list, but I wanted to share a bit of myself with you. In my introductory post I mentioned, somewhat nonchalantly, that I am a poet. Well, just so you can see what I mean, I wantd to pass on to you one of my more recent poems. This one is really really short, and I wrote it after reading Kerouac's _The Dharma Bums_ (any other Kerouac fans out there?) it has no title. =) . . . . . by Stehanie Maria Kartalopoulos when the time comes for eyes to close in peaceful slumber the void of the world in which we live lifts itself of the burden of illusion and we truly become one with nature- nothing other than living souls.
