Zelig" Subject: IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE: BACKSTAGE ONLINE I am writing this letter to all of you to inform you of the recent events that have occured in the past weeks concerning the Backstage Online web site which was found at http://www.backstageonline.com Several weeks ago, I was notified by a large entertainment and communications corporation that they believed I was infringing on their registered trademarks by the use of the Backstage Online name, logos, and the backstageonline.com domain. Since then they have threatened legal action against me if I did not "cease and desist" from using the Backstage Online name and logo as well as the backstageonline.com domain. As you may notice by visiting the web site, we have complied with some of their requests and have removed ALL content from the web site address that named Backstage Online or contained the Backstage Online logo(s). However, there is still a debate as to whether or not I am entitled to keep the backstageonline.com domain under my ownership. This has yet to be decided in this matter and discussions are currently under way between myself and the corporation. The main reason I am writing all of you this letter is to inform you as to why the web site is no longer up at http://www.backstageonline.com and to tell you that I am currently in the process of thinking of a new name for the web site and a new domain that I can register. With any luck, the situation will turn out for the better and the web site that was formerly known as Backstage Online will be up under a new name / domain in a few weeks. I am still fielding all suggestions as to new names for the web site. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to e-mail me with those suggestions. Lastly, if you have a web site and are currently linking to http://www.backstageonline.com , I ask that you please remove the link and Backstage Online logos from your web site until this matter can be resolved. I thank you all for your continued support of Backstage Online and I am sure that once the new web site is up, it will continue in the tradition of Backstage Online with the fantasic services, coverage, and information that has made us so well known in the past two years. I was totally into every second of it. It is absolutely amazing how one song can be made to last 44 minutes and still be so incredibly stimulating.
