Her music definetly stands out. **Other Bands I LIsten to*** The band i listen to *the most* would have to be Sonic Youth, becos i have respected them dearly for a very long time. Well guys, as to the future of Poe in terms of record labels and popularity, I can only quote John Lennon: "Well, I really can't say, can I. I mean, is it up to me? No." Hmm, sounds better when he says it. Anyway...if the critics slam her, if the radio ignores her, if the 13-year-olds say she sux (no offense to 13-year-olds), if the record company drops her...she'll still be alive, and probably making music somehow. It might be a lot tougher for us to hear it, but on the bright side it'll be easier for us to hang out with her. What I'm scared of is, what if _I_ don't dig her new album? Personally, I love _Hello_ the album. And yeah, I know the live show is the cat's pajamas and all, but I really don't like the band versions of songs that got recorded in the studio. Personally, my favorite Poe songs are Junkie (horny version) and Padre Fear, because they _sound_ so awesome. I like the way she played with the studio. So maybe I won't like the new album. Sure, I'll buy it, but...well, it just worries me. Luckily, I'm all for creative progress, and if she changes alot on this album, then she'll change alot on the next, so we're bound to come together eventually! That's why I like good artists--they're dynamic. Oh, I just realized why this bugs me and probably not you. Becuz I've always said (read back AP digests, it's there somewhere!) that Poe's songs, as just plain songs, don't quite do it for me. I like the performance. Ah, well, never mind, I know, you don't care. As for vinyl VS digital, well, CDs and LPs sound pretty much the same to me, but vinyl increases yr hip cred, so why not get vinyl? "Hello" was an almost complete ONE PERSON album... the new album will be recorded as a band... and by far... the band sound in my opinion is much much better than the sound of poe alone... NOT that poe sounds bad by herself... but it's just much better with five people than with one... especially with four people like Cam, Toby, Jones and Daris to back her up... how any of you can even think the new poe album will not be a smashing success kinda scares me... but hey... we're finally talking about poe in here again... and that kinda scares me too.... does that mean maybe we're getting back on subject???? whoa... and just in time for them pesky college kids to come back too!
