Well just came back from a show.. i did not see much of it but i heard it all... I wind up going to the Show with Jesse from d-gen to hand out the some flyers for a after show part at Coney island high..I see the sound checks and eats the crews food. I wind up selling shirts for them (but they were going to pay me) During sound check Jello Biafra (dead kennedys) did two dead kennedys sounds with the offspring. was great.. He did not move at all.... The show begins i am selling shirts and hats and posters... Talk to a few people i knew who came just too see Jello since K-Rock was saying he was going to do a full set. review of each band Shift: Nice guys... really nice guys.. D-Generation: I did not much of there set. Only saw them do a Cover by Regan Youth It was great. Offspring: Could a band get worst.. they were so bad.. the new album sucks i do not see why people like them after that. They get off... Jello with the band comes on and talks a bit and then does two Dead Kennedy's sounds it was great he jumped around and moved alot.. Something i did not think he will do.. jumped into the crowd a few times.. I think if i had to pay those two songs were worth the $13? tickets were. After that i was selling more t-shirts and Jesse came around and told me to bring the shirts to the back when i was done. See Howie after and people start to ask him to sign posters and stuff it was funny... even shift signed a bunch of stuff... when i went back stage everybody in the band le ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 1997 08:28:08 -0400 From: airkc1@juno.com Subject: NPR: Leaving for a while Hey all... I just happen to be the only one in it right now. Err, I mean, I play everything. Problem is, I neither sing nor write lyrics...but I'm sure I could come up with something. I definately interested. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 1997 22:13:33 -0400 From: John Beadle Subject: RE: Poe's Brother Everyone who didn't flame me- Sorry about posting the person who might be poe's brother's addy. I should've thought about it first, but I had to run in a sec, wanted to ask the question, and figured it was a public search, people will understand if I can't quick cut out what was in the line of data it sent back. Yeah, I could've taken a second, so sorry. Everyone who did flame me- You could've complained better. I didn't appreciate being told Poe would hate the list because of me, and other things filled with profanity. There are people who insisted they weren't flaming me, yet continued to insult me. Think before you flame. I don't regret a thing when it involves you all. To people who said Poe would hate me and the list- Poe is cool, yeah, but she isn't some god to worship. You don't have to obsess. - -Landon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 1997 22:10:40 -0400 From: Backstage Online Subject: Backstage Online Update Announcement [ The Following Is A Backstage Online Update Announcement For July 20, 1997 ] *************** THE WARPED TOUR *************** The Vans Warped Tour has now been in full swing for almost a month and all is going well. We are are at about 50 people and we are coming close to breaking the bank (lol, we did that long ago). Tangent: In Salt Lake City, Poe's tour manager asked me, "How do you APs afford all this travel?" As soon as I stopped laughing, I said, "We don't." The Psycho lawn is taking a terrible beating from our voracious resident gophers, and our cat still has absolutly no interest in helping with our plight. It still looks glorious...we just hope it survives until the party. It may end up saying "Angry Psy c , or something like that. We'll figure something out. If you can't attend, send us a photo or card to go up on our guest list autograph board. If you do attend...we have 25 trivia questions. We still aren't sure how to run the contest. Email suggestions if you have any. Bring musical instruments if you want. Weather here is now typical...fog, fog, fog, with occasional bursts of sun. Temps are okay, but sweaters for the evening will be a smart idea. Oh yeah...something else...this is one AP event where moshing will be discouraged...although there will be plenty of room outside!
