The June Cleavers of the world are not the huge market that they used to be. Women want different things than they did a few years ago. Women for the most part are no longer dependent upon men in amy way. Marketers are smart enough to see these changes and they promote products which appeal to todays independent self-ruling Woman. When I think of artists like POE, Sheryl Crow, Meridith Brooks I see not an angry bitch but a person who has control over their own life and the motivation to realise their own dreams. Todays world is full of these kind of women and this music appeals to them. Thats why their music sells so well. In the past these strong minded women were not as common but today they are the norm. I don't think it has anything to do with sexism. Men are not creating the product women are. That is my ten cents. Thanks, Greg Luhman P.s. The spice girls have nothing to do with this conversation they are a sexist creation and a poor display of humanity. - -- Greg Luhman Has Found your mailbox Find Greg at gluhman@rrnet.com "I fear not tomorrow because I have seen yesterday and I live today."
