Only other example of this reversyness thing is last i remember at our school, if a guy made any contact whatsoever with a girl, usually would be suspended or have inhouse (detention) for a few days straight (through all classes), but a girl could totally jump on a guy or anything, none of the teachers would care.=20 SUMMED UP: Screw affirmative Action and such. IF there are people degrading race, sex, whatever, punish them. don't make everyone treat others different, if they wouldn't in the first place. I must retract my earlier statement pertaining to the reason we are here. Perhaps at one time, the reason I traveled 2500 or more miles was to see POE, but not anymore. Poe was the catalyst that pulled us all together, and US is the reason. If it were just a show and nothing else, I would have stayed home. But it has evolved into more. Friendships. Nationally, Internationally (thanks Clint...lol). I can travel basically anywhere and know someone. Where else can I get this? If you ever get sick of all the NPR's, etc. Think about this. Is it worth unsubscribing? Ihave contemplated this, and NO it's not. Ok, off the box. Thanks everyone who attended, I had a blast!..." For me, joining Angry-Psychos was initially about finding more information about a musician that I loved. This original objective soon evolved into spending ungodly hours in the chatroom talking to other APs. Then I did something rather bold and flew to Vegas to meet Poe and 25 other Angry-Psychos (now such trips don't seem bold at all). From that point on, Angry-Psychos became much more than just an source of information or a chance at going backstage... Its about people; meeting and knowing people who may or may not have the same opinion about angry-chick singers as you do, but tolerate you just the same, because they share one common love which somehow is enough to draw them together into so much more. thanks to everyone, emily ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jul 1997 19:49:58 -0400 From: LARVA Subject: Whatever.... So we really yhink that it's okay to just dimiss women singers as only being angry? They aren't allowed to have other emotions and facets to their personalities is what I take it you're saying, as I like to listen to the whole effect of a song, not just the angry woman yelling. What you seem to not understand is that almost all of my music is by females. Women that seem to be just written off as another angry chick. Take Tracy Bonham for example. Everyone hears Mother Mother and tells me that she's just "another angry chick." Bull. There is so much more to her music than just the anger, as is the same with ANY artist. My point is simple...stop dismissing artists with valid points by grouping them together with other artists who have another angry song out. Anger is a part of everyone, but it does not and should never be the one driving force behind a person. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jul 1997 20:43:23 -0400 From: "Chad N.
