I flip open to the contents and there is one of those pictures of Poe, you know like a professional media shoot photo, and you go..."is that Poe...hmmm...maybe...maybe it is Evil Poe." So anyway, turns out it is Poe. She is a guest reviewer, and helps review some music festival web sites. The article introduces Poe like this: "Struck by the Net-inspired lyrics on her debut album, we asked singer/songwriter Poe to log on and help us plan the rest of our summer weekends." The article closes like this: "Poe's (www.poe.org) major-label debut, Hello, has just gone gold. Her latest recording, 'A Rose Is a Rose,' will be released soon on Loungeapalooza (Hollywood)." Heh heh...oh yeah....POE.ORG! Modern Records will eventually have to lose Atlantic Records and undersign with Angry Psychos Records. tyman@poe.org (just another psycho in the org) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Jul 1997 16:34:33 -0400 From: Robby Black Subject: TOBY- Again... It may be time for someone to put me out of my misery for good! While composing some mail on the computer today, I decided to turn on the radio. No problem, right? Well, since nothing good was on the local modern rock station and I was tired of what was in the CD changer, I decided to try the other modern station which has no real format whatsoever. Although I usually don't like said station, I was actually glad to hear the Spice Girls singing "Say you'll be there" There is no excuse for this excitement. I can only go downhill from here. What's next? Will I buy a Hanson CD? Maybe I will start singing Da Dip by Freaknasty. My will has been broken by a bunch of fabricated, talentless, sexy brits. I even know all of their names and am starting to develop a crush on Mel C, the sporty spice. Somebody please shoot me! Colin Alexander Eliot Diesel@poe.org "I've had so much on my mind. We are filling up quickly; now about 45 are coming. Let us know if we need to make room for you. Someone brought up an interesting idea...if any of you want to bring musical instruments and put together an informal jam session...go for it. And for those of you that can't or don't want to come (say it isn't true!), I'll throw out an idea courtesy of that virtual factory of ideas, Emily. Send us a card, photo, video, audio cassette, or other memorabilia that we can put up on our AP board. This board will be signed by all in attendance, photographed and sent to Poe via Modern Records, so email me privately if you want the our address to send something. NOTE: It will be too difficult and expensive to return items, so send us dupe photos or color xeroxes, or something you don't need returned. Just a note or card would be cool. We hope to include all of you one way or the other. Oh yeah...something else...we plan on showing up in the chatroom that night, so that's another place that you can participate. I think this is one of the best ideas to generate some POE/AP excitement. To have a picture of every Angry Psycho attaced to the card that those in attendance will sign would be great. Knowing how passionate POE is - sending her a picture of the AP Board that everybody is on would be an awesome display. Compliments to Roger... Jarrod ComingSoon@Angry-Psychos.com P.S. I know that I will be bringing a picture of Lyza that I took while she was visiting me on her summer tour. -- POE chooses to be with us. The possibility of Angry-Psychos... I was so glad when I died"-Gordon Gano Don't worry, a lot of badly made, shallow songs are "catchy," And can get stuck in your head, too. As for the Spice Girls, they were constructed and programmed so people would be attracted to them. You heard me. Programmed. Constructed. You gotta problem with that? You wanna piece of me? oops... I'm turning into iBBS mode, here. It's actually more psycho than the Angry-Psychos at that BBS. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Jul 1997 22:38:00 EDT From: agentorange2@juno.com Subject: SEAP: SouthEastAngryPsychos ok.. the time has come.. i've been some what of a slaker with this since we put it together, but now that poe happenings are to a minimal i can put together a list for the future. hello hello i am the regional director for S.E.A.P. my name is rusty, many of you have known me since the begining. you can find me & poe together on the web... go through this site, as i do not know the URL's off the top of my head. http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palms/5226 go to the poe pages and you will find me. if you live in the southeast states, please email me your name, phone, snail mail address, and email address. i believe robby posted the states earlier today to the list. thanks & hope to hear from yall soon. :P - -rusty ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Jul 1997 00:07:55 -0400 From: "Colin Alexander Eliot " Subject: Special B Side!!!! I read that the B side of "You Guys Suck! I am unsubscribing" is going to be a cover song. It is going to be "We are Family" and is supposedly dedicated to ej! I also saw that Morrissey has been called about the vegetarian song on the album, and that a "Meat is Murder Part 2" may be a hidden track or possibly a special EP Colin Diesel@poe.org ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Jul 1997 21:02:38 -0700 (MST) From: "poe.org" Subject: YOUR PoE PAGE Greetings... Well with the Fourth of July over and fall just around the corner - it is upgrade time... Faster computers... Bigger monitors... MORE MORE MORE... Who will save your soul? JEWEL - Hell no... POE.ORG DO YOU HAVE A POE PAGE? A partial POE Page? Just index.html? It is needed at POE.ORG. Over the next month I am going to compile as many POE related Pages as possible and have a complete list for people to search through... Everybody keeps posting about their Page, etc. I have not kept tabs on where they all are. We are starting to get some good press and The Angry Psychos is becoming a name. This is all happening under the umbrella of POE.ORG...?... I need to step up. Poe tells people to come here. It makes me proud. Please help in feeding all of the new POE fans that come to the internet with good POE links. That means yours. Send the URL - add to the fire!
