I couldn't focus on any one person. The special effects were kewl tho. But, the acting was like the worst I've ever seen. Alicia Silverstone was supposedly a huge character (yeah, her twenty minute part? she disappeared for the entire movie besides the bike scene, and then was gone for another huge gap) but the small part she had she couldn't act at all. The other pplz looked like they couldn't act, but they were doing way too many catch phrases, bad jokes, and were too dramatic in whatever they said. Of course, they would of looked worse trying to act good in this movie... hehehehe They just built too much hype from the third movie. they had a whole new wave of ppl who went because of Jim Carrey, and what this movie was built off of that. It's gonna make a lot, u kno that. ppl who liked the first 2 or 3 will see it, ppl who were the new wave will go see it, and other ppl will go see it... the wave from the third movie and another wave will get all the merchandise. And next year or the year after it will be worse. they'll have a five, and it will be total graphics and geared to this younger crowd. the only way to stop it is to start making 2 movies, one for the ppls who like it now, and one for the ppl who like plot and suspense. but they tried to make the movies side by side with the cartoon movies, and that didn't work, so oh wellz. they need to add some suspense, be able to have a little blood, whatever... they didn't have a single drop of blood in this movie... ppl were constantly getting punched and kicked and thrown into walls, but never got hurt at all... but oh k i'll stop rambling... I did see a kewl movie tho on my b-day.... I made my parents let my baby sis goto her first theater movie, HERCULES... hehehe Disney movies are alwayz kewl. I stopped saying "Oh yeah, I'm REEEEALY gonna see that movie, it sux! IT's for LITTLE KIDS!" like 4 years ago. It wuz a kewl movie, my one complaint is that it would've been better if it wasn't so crowded. two theaters simultaneously played it, and they were both full (in this LITTLE town), so they're were little pplz talking at a non-theater whisper voice... but oh wellz, they got quiet after a while. oh yeah, Disney seems to be throwing in more stuff that older ppl will only get... hunchback of notre dame they had a lot of things, one was when Frollo started to sniff esmerelda's hair and the dialogue was: e: "what are u doing?" f: "Just picturing a rope around that pretty little neck of yours" e: "I kno what u were IMAGINING..." f: "my my, how common of ur kind to twist the words to cloud the mind with unholy thoughts." i guess hercules didn't have as much, in the hunchback of notre dame they talked about damnation, they killed ppl, they were burning at the stake, whole bunch of stuff. in hercules they talked about what "curves" were hercules weakness (yeah they were talking about Meg) and I thought something else but i can't remember so oh wellz. After a month or so of editing countless pictures, several computer reformats, and a few software incompatability issues the site is finally up.... well sorta. I have set up a temporary site to house the pictures I have from the Raleigh and Atlanta shows.. as well as a very few from Richmond, Rochester, and DC. Right now the Atlanta ones are the only ones up... Im in the process of resizing the Raleigh ones for the site and will have them up as soon as possible... Ill post to the list again when they are up... Once again please note everything about this site is temporary, from the name to the appearance... once this site is complete I begin work on my complete multimedia POE site... there will hopefully be many surprises involved with that site.. as it nears completion Ill post updates... *sigh... and please dont even start about the url... its the best I can do on short notice* http://members.aol.com/darthpepr/index.html Brad darthpepr@poe.org ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Jul 1997 01:21:14 -0400 From: Ron Subject: Re: no more jokes please I'm with you, I don't mind the jokes, I even like them in fact, but so long as they have the "NPR" label. That way people who don't like the jokes won't have to waste time wading through them...
