Please Join. Well it would not actualy be an AP BBS, but as was demonstrated by the POE/BUSH voting wars, the AP presense can be felt. RINX.COM where this message originates from is a FREE BBS that is reachable by "telnet" at Telnet IP: 206.231.3.10 For those of you familiar with telnet, please join RINX.COM there is no lengthy verification process. For those of you not familiar with "telnet" point your browser to www.tucows.com and get a copy of "Netterm" I see this as a win win situation. The BBS membership is largely an alternative crowd as is immediately reflected when you log on and you see the handles of all the other online users. You will be able to establish another user id, a new e-mail addy, you have access to menue driven internet, which includes IRC for those of you who like to clone, or be on two networks at once. This is a chance to show AP Power, can the AP's become the majority user base of this BBS? There are many intangibles in the opportunities possible via our mass joining of a BBS, so just do it and lets see what happens :> Telnet IP: 206.231.3.10 P.S. I'm leaving in 5 and a half hours to begin my odyssey. What this means: I'll be sketchy for the next month. Yes, I have internet access, but it's sort of iffy. The home accounts here are still active, and hopefully with some help from fellow AP's that I visit, I'll be able to telnet into my shells and do some serious work. Keep emailing me, the preferred address is lyza@lyza.com. I'll be posting updates at http://www.lyza.com so keep your eyes open! Those of you with ICQ who are not on my contact list already, send me your UIN. Those of you who don't already know, Poe's brother has put up a nifty page at http://www.loop.com/~mzd so check it out. If you need to get ahold of me in a hurry, I would suggest you call 503-246-3812. This is my mom's house (someone else is staying in my apartment right now) and I should be in contact with HER daily. Rusty, I assume we're confirmed. I'll get ahold of you as soon as possible. I will return on July 29th and --> after that <-- will be reachable as usual or at 503-725-7792. Remember, it's not too late to preorder your Poe Trip videos. Just email me. And please visit my trip page at http://www.lyza.com/trip/ or my Poe page at http://www.lyza.com/poe/ As for those who are receiving this twice or something, I'm really sorry. I'm in a hurry and couldn't take time to fish through all of the addresses (there are about 700 people receiving this message)! Email me with any questions or...anything! Great, see y'all on the road... ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Jun 1997 01:26:47 -0700 From: Cocky Subject: dAy ThrEE: The Las Vegas Story I awoke only hours after my head rested against the comfort of a pillow and my body consumed by the coverings of the bed. Waking this morning meant to say goodbye to some aps...but only for a while. I never even saw Amato that morning, he caught a frightenly early flight to las vegas. After long goodbys to, AT, Chile, kristina and tyman, as well as Jarrod and Shaun two, I layed back in bed and tried to catch some much needed sleep.... After 30 mins i once again rose and decided to start my day. The first order of business was to catch some grub... So we walked to the "Port o Call" and we were denied cause it was a 21 and over joint. Shaun, Melly, Tony and I walked further from the hotel and into another place that was 21 and over however they did not check the ids of those of who were younger... We ate and lost track of time, I missed the taxi that was supposed to take me to the airport, and i missed the plane that was supposed to take me to Las Vegas.... The four of us ate and then layed around the lawn outside the hotel and wasted the nexthour, at that time i entered a taxi. The taxi driver tried to convince me that Melly was blowing kisses to him and not me, however i know the truth. I arrived at the airport and signed up for the next flight. Arriving in Vegas i jumped in another taxi and was wisked to the Monte Carlo. After waiting in a long line i got a room key and headed up to the room that held many of those people that i had just said goodbye to. At, Jim Myers, Kristina, Tyman, Shaun, Antony, Shaun, Tyman, chile, Jarrod waited in a smoke filled room for me. I was late and had scared the shit out of my waiting AP people...... Shortly after arriving i was shone the important areas of the room, namely the window that, with binoclers, one could watch sexy woman worshiping the sun.... Later there was a vote to see if Melly would hook up wih Jane Jensen or not.... The results are inconclusive as many people fluctuated between the two possible outcomes... After a diner of McDonalds, it was time to take vegas! The gamblers split from the others and donated our hard earned money to incompassionate slot machines andsometimes friendly card dealers. Jarrod, Amato, Shaun (who was ID 11 times from Saturday night to Sunday morning at 4), Jim and myself played hours of blackjack and craps. Jim and Jarrod made out very well that night on the craps table but so is the luck of Vegas they put all the money back into the casinos the next day. Poor shaun and myself were never up. Amato bounced back and forth above and below the break even line. So, after many ours of gambling it was time to hit the street. Under the code name "Backstage Online" we lied, scammed and sucessfully convinced people that we were shooting film for MTV. We interviewed people of all ages and were actuall interviewed for a British TV Station. I was the host, Jarrod the live camera guy, Jim taking still shots, Amato the producer and Shaun the director. I cant wait to see the footage. We ended up hooking up with some sexy girls attending a hair show, oddly enough they were from salt lake city and missed the Big Ass Show there. We asked stupid questions, we talked to street people, we attracted crowds and when its all said and done it was a great fucking time. Hopefully we will put enough tape together to send our escaped off the MTV for some sort of special segment. People believed us, we all the props.... Mic, Camera, Producer, Still photos... and the Proper Cocky attitude to carry this whole plan off. We signed autographs, got phonenumbers and basically felt like the stars that we had created for ourselves. Slumber again called to us and like tired zombies we took that long walk to our hotel. Waking the morning we went to lunch... yes lunch... We chatted reflected on the weekend and made plans for the future.... Amato kept asking the same questions, "what do i do when the batteries inmy camera go dead?" The simple answer was just beyond his grasp so i helped him out, "You buy new f*cking batteries...." It was time to say goodbye to Jarrod and Shaun, so after doing so we went back to the tables that had taken our loot.... The slots called to us so Jim Amato and myself each put in 33 buck and played some $1 poker slots.... We were on a roll and hit a four of a kind and won $300 bucks.... So we each got a 100. While walking to a roulette i decided red was the next color to arrive and Amato decided it was gonna be a odd number... It came up odd but no red... So now I lost my $100 and Amato had $200. Amato and I left for the airport in the same cab and said goodbye to jim... I boarded my flight an hour later and came back to reality of work and an unmade bed. Life crashed upon me all at once.... Thankyou to the friends i made and friendships i continued.... I cant wait to see the video, and relive one of the best times of my life.... Thanks guys... Peace Brothers and Sisters.... Melly=MOD----Sexy woman that continually invades my waking mind and dances to the hypnotic beat of my dream nightscapes.
