I understand and appreciate the enthusiasm but Modern is already on the side of the APs and igniting a flame under Atlantic Records ass, to me, isn't the best thing we could do. I recently sat across from the Senior V.P. of Atlantic Records and he looked me in the eye and stated that he is very impressed with what we have done in the past six months. This is a very delicate subject when it gets to the record company level. Let us not fragment into a hostile crew. I have been quiet about this "fan club" stuff and will keep a tight lip for a little while longer, mostly because I am so in the middle of the conversation. But I can gurantee that we are quite close to becoming official. POE.ORG included... I've been here for a LOOONG time, not as long as maybe the first 30 or whatever, I dunno. My experience has been mostly positive, but there have been some Extreme periods of flames, which I went crazy on a few times and joined in, as did most. I feel we are a family and can remain open to each other, and those who don't agree, learn to not flame. Most of the posting ap's have lots of friends on this list, and they can turn into some of the biggest flamers by defending themselves and their fellow AP's, but after a while, everyone gets their turn to be flamed, see how it is, and think before they post. As to the fan club deal: I haven't read many of the posts fully concerning this, so this is a general statement. If u have a poe fanclub, it does not matter how long it has been established. This is the equivilent of saying "everyone in my club is older than the people in ur club"... Age does NOT matter, and all clubs are united. Whether they like it or not, their common purpose is the same. The angry-psychos isn't the only poe mailing list i'm sure, some may not be well known or nething, but If one springs up, should we flame it and call everyone who knows about it a "non poe fan?".
