I was in Phoenix last week looking for the "Hello" single (which doesn't seem to have been released in Canada yet :( ) and came across two singles in Blockbuster. Hello and Trigger Happy Jack maxi single. I almost didn't pick up the Trigger Happy Jack single, but considering the two combined cost me $10 I thought what the hell. Turns out I made a good choice!! In the same mall as the Blockbuster, I went to a Sam Goody (or something like that) and asked about the POE single Hello. The guy in the store said that she hadn't released ANY singles off that album. I felt like walking back and showing him the two singles I bought in the same mall!! Well that's my point of view. Disagree if you want, it's a > free country. > > JDS. I am on a mailing list (Sarah McLachlan) that is a forum for fans, that has very little on topic postings. It is a bunch of people with a common interest to share their thoughts on everything. What I have noticed about the Sarah list is that there is very little flaming going on and almost no infighting. We all share a common interest in POE, but limiting a list to only POE items COULD make for a very dull list. How many times can you talk about the same things over and over and over again?? This list is like a bunch of distant friends who only talk on the phone once in a while. The Sarah list is like a family that shares their feelings with everyone. A list that if someone has a problem, useful advice is given. Just my two cents worth (I am tired an rambling on) Clint ********************************************************************** hcdoyle@direct.ca | "And the license said you had to stick around Clint Doyle, CNA | until I was dead, But if you're tired of | looking at my face I guess I already am" - -----------------------| "Divorce Song" - Liz Phair ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Mar 1997 18:49:51 -0700 From: ROBERT ELLIOTT Subject: Re: wrong idea *applause* Well put. NPR's, USE 'EM, PEOPLE. I made a comment about the Sarah McLachlan list earlier, and how everything goes. What I did forget to mention is that the subject lines are very play a very important part in the list functioning the way it does. We have 'BST' on the Sarah list. What does BST mean?? "Bull Shit Thread" Works quite well. If it says BST, then you won't miss anything on topic if you delete it. Same should go for NPR. The more it is used, the better it will be. (I'm only 17) But at least she is letting me go to see Bush in TN, with Veruca Salt(I was hoping it was POE, cause I got floor seats to the show). For St. Louis People - I have heard a RUMOR, I repeat RUMOR that Poe will be at Pointfest 7 on the main stage. This was a - you guessed it - a RUMOR. It is in two months, so they should have some bands by now. I quit my job at St. Louis Bread Company, and cut my hair 8 inches this weekend. I guess I am ready for a change? I think I am getting a job at Contempo Casuals at Mid Rivers Mall, I have an interview on Tuesday. I am going to see LIVE tommarow!!! Yea Yea Yea!!!! Well, bye!
