Actually, it can be kind of FUN... :) then.. go on a creative spree and write the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the CD or any song.. or write about what you think Poe was thinking when she wrote the song.. or write about your DOG for God's sake, just write me SOMETHING!!!!! thank you. I (brette) gave her a necklace which was black beads with blue flowers that i made, and told her how i cried when i first hearpple and wrote FIONA WE LOVE YOU and our names and stuff on it, and we bought her flowers, and the book girl goddess #9. she was sooo happy w/ the book. she was like "thanks! i sooo need a new book. i just finished one last night and i was complaining today how i need a new one!" we wrote our addresses and phone #s in it and stuff too. then we talked about the fiona list and she's like "yeah, i'm gonna try and get more involved with it!" then we took a whole bunch of photos, and i'm like "fiona we have really bad seats is there anyting you could do?" and she asked for us, but there was no luck. then she had to go to sound check. by then, willcall was opening, and WE DID get my photo pass, and 2 free 10th row tickets! what luck! todd, u rock. then... the concert. i go down to the stage and set up my camera and jenny takes the "good seat" first. fiona comes out and starts with "child is gone" which was BEAUTIFUL! then she goes, "this next song is dedicated to brette!" and plays sullen girl! at the end, she walks over to the mic and goes, "in case you didn't hear, that song was dedicated to BRETTE, who made me this necklace!" and she holds it up... then she's like "brette wherever you are...." and i was standing in front of her taking photos (thanks again todd for my photo pass!) and i screamed "fiona!" and she's like "oh hey! youre right there!" what a sweetie. then she talked a bit, and did sleep to dream (she was staring at my camera the whole time! : ), then slow like honey, the first taste, and shadowboxer. then she did the whole wings bit with criminal (i got photos of that too!). then she was like "can you keep the conversation down to a low buzz, 'cuz i'm gonna do a song now alone, and i don't want to fuck it up.) then she did a beautiful NEVER IS A PROMISE, and went off. i got awesome photos! then counting crows came on, and did they're thing. they were good, they played lots of "august and everything after" which i think is better than the new album... we made friends with a bunch of security guards who "just happend to let us know" that it was ok for us to sit in the front row, 'ucz they were gonna open up the aisles and stuff too. so we had front row standing against the stage and cool stuff. it was cool. we held up signs that said ADAM WE LOVE YOU! COME OVER HERE! and one that said MATT! YOU E-MAILED ME! I AM FLICKERGRL! THANK YOU! after awhile they saw them. matt laughed, and he's like "wait for me later!" and i tried to get teh whole band to sign this magazine i had of them and they are all like "sure, later! we'll see you later!" so after the concert, everyone cleared out, and we stayed. even though we didn't have VIP passes, just the fact that i was "brette" the sullen girl whatever, and we knew the security guards, they let us stay. adam came out and chatted for a long time, and signed my stuff. he is gorgeous! his hands are cold too. ahh! he's like a big teddy bear to hug! then we said thanks and left. we went around to the tour bus for counting crows and they were all there signing autographs, so we met all of them. matt and i had a nice lil chat too. it was the best evening. i hope fiona will keep in touch. well, that's pretty much it. once again, todd you rock for making this whole thing happen. please e-mail me w/ feedback. luv ya all, brette and jessi ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 08 Feb 1997 01:21:12 +0000 From: Kristina Subject: npr-bananaman Someone please help me. does someone remember the cartoon bananaman...if you do please email me its very important Kristina kmfroggirl@geocities.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Feb 1997 23:51:48 -0700 (MST) From: Jarrod Subject: Re: VEGAS..... Boycotting is the most effective way of expressing your anger or problems with a big corporation...after all, they only really care about your money. Hit 'em where it hurts...their pocketbooks. I say more power to those of you who decide to organize a "peaceful", note I said peaceful, boycott. Don't go in and try to ruin things for everybody else except AOL. You'll only hurt the users who are just as frustrated as you may be. Peaceful resistance is the best kind of all.
