Yes, music does discuss suicide, OFTEN.  I'll let you all know 
something.  Since this suicide topic has come up, I have received 
over EIGHT personal E-mails asking for some guidance....I don't think 
these people had anywhere to turn, but they did turn to the Psycho's 
list.  

For all of you "healthy" minded individuals, KUDOS!!!!  Live healthy 
and never had compassion for anyone.  Great life!!!!  Hope it's 
reciprocated your way some time REAL soon.

I agree.  I have considered many times unsubscribing because I 
cannot
handle the volume of mail that I receive everyday.  I love to read
every post, but when it takes a full hour to read them all, it cuts
into my time.  I only stay on because I love the list, not the 
subject
matter.

Anthony, Jarrod, and I have almost tuned the posting guidelines for
this list.  We should have it out for everyone to read very soon.

The song was a concert version of Hello- Poe crowd surfing, very electric
version of the song.  Excellent !  Is this a new vid or am I seeing one which
has been around for a while.  Will try to see/tape it but "The Box" has no
set schedule that I have been able to figure out.  BTW, I have never called
in for a song.  Has anyone out there ?
Did they play it soon after ?

the problem with www (sorry about an old thread), is that not everyone has
a 32bit capable system...  and people with a shell account (which is all i

Well, this IS a little off the point. :) Since the Angry Psychos AREN'T
a free or democratic society, Jerrod and the others are completely free
to keep people from posting off the topic. However, since AMERICA is,
we're also free to start another group that allows off-topic posts.

I think people start crying censorship too early and too often. Private
censorship, as long as the possibility of competition exists, is
completely legal and often not a bad thing. Prodigy is a good example;
they censored people, and now they've been reduced to a pathetic little
shadow because they pissed off their clientele.

On the other hand, some things do BETTER with a little censorship; a lot
of chat lines on the 'Net are very successful because they automatically
@boot people who're ignorant enough to log on spouting vulgarities and
grabbing their cybercrotches. And if people don't like the censorship,
they can go somewhere else.

Don't complain about censorship, in other words, unless it's the
government itself that's doing it. ANY private organization is free to
censor its product -- but you're free not to support them. :)

about all the people who love you and that care about you and what your death
would do to them...you never know-- people react differently to
things..--your death could trigger someone else's... Suicide is a permanent
solution for temporary problems..problems will eventually go away, but once
you're dead, you're dead...it's not worth it.

 Please try to follow basic netiquette: 
 
 * Keep the discussion on the list confined to that revolving around
 Poe, her band, her music, etc.  For example, while you may love Alanis
 Morissette and want to talk about her all the time, most members of
 the list don't really care since (1) it's not related to Poe and (2)
 she has her own mailing list.
 
 * (NOTE: There will be something added about non-Poe posts--i.e. please
 use TAN or NPR)
 
 * When replying to a message, try only to quote the sections of the
 original message that are relevant to the reply.
 
 * If mail from your address bounces consistently, you will either be
 removed from the list after a few days of bouncing, or be moved to the
 digest for a few days, and then be removed from the digest if the
 problem doesn't clear up.  
 
 * Chain e-mails should NEVER be sent to the mailing list.

 Thank you for subscribing to the Angry Psychos Mailing List!  Your
 participation and support will only make this list better.  Don't feel
 that you will be asking a silly question or making a ridiculous statement;

Ok then....let's look at the US government....does anybody know about the
Telecommunications act?  Sounds suspiciously like the beginnings of censor
under the disguise of moral code to me.  Look at this on a global
level...isn't the US government a private organization?  Does that give
them the right to censor our media?  Our lives?  No.  If you let
censorship happen in the private sector..then it will breed into the
public sector as well.  Particularly with the extreme wings of our
political spheres in Washington.  If the general public said Killing each
other is okay, politicians would then attempt to use that to gain support
by saying they'll introduce laws to legalize killing.  It all starts
somewhere.

Well, when i first asked that we keep this mailing list to the Topic of
POE, I did it not because I do not like reading all the other nonsense
(which I do not), but because all the other nonsense STILL fills my
mailbox.  By writing TAN or NPC in front does not stop this.  It still
fills my mailbox and I still have to download all the messages, whether
they have POE content or not.

Please, spare all of us who do not want to read 150 messages a day (10 of
which are poe related).

If you need to say something about POE, you know you have the place to do
it.  however, if you have something you just want to tell people, the A-P
mailing list is not the place for it.

Thank you.  And please, if you need to or have the urge to respond to this
(I do not think it wil be necessary), spare the people of the A-P list and
send it directly to me so only *I* can hit the Delete button.

Subject: ...in no particular order...

The task of narrowing  down my top ten favorite music groups is much
too hard for me to even begin to attempt.   I am one of those people
that really likes music.  I know the previous sentence sounds pretty
lame,  but I do not know how to describe the relationship between me
and music.   I listen to music  all the time.   Music plays  with my
emotions and makes me smile.   Recently, a song on the radio made me
cry for the  first time since  my dad died years ago.   Music brings
back memories better than anything I know.   I have compiled a small
list  of some  bands/composers  among my  favorite.   They are in no
particular order and are not even necissarily my top ten.   They are
just some groups/composers that immediately came to mind while I was
thinking of my favorite music.
