The most serious desease that plagues the world is not a disease at all; it is a little problem called over-population. There are too many people in this world, and the number is exponentially growing. Due to limited resources, the world is destined to be full of poverty and sadness in the near future. But I do not wish to get you worried, for nature has built in an escape valve so that the problem does not get out of hand. This "escape valve" is disease as you know it. AIDS, for example was created to slow the growth of our runaway population. Disease and death, in this way, acts as our savior. Now to get back on topic (or off-topic), suicide is a great way to reduce population! If you are weak and cannot take life then you should commit suicide becuase you have bad genes. By living you are only causing sadness in the world and prolonging the elimination of bad jeans. Your bad jeans will be removed from the pool eventually, so don't fight it. Just expressing my point of view... PR0death (... not just a religion anymore ...) ARE YOU OFFERING? YADDA, YADDA, YADDA....AND JUST WHO "INVENTED" AIDS? Oh, please edify us all. Interesting that you brought this up, because I've thought about it some. I don't know if the question is really "is she ready for it". I wonder if she would WANT to play in some huge venue. I would like to think that the answer to that is no, because I think such a huge part of the experience of going to one of her concerts is the intimate atmosphere she creates. I just can't imagine that same feeling in one of those huge amphitheaters where all you can see is a speck on the stage. Maybe I am just being totally selfish, but I fear superstardome for Poe. I have this fear that the Alanis curse will someday befall on her and radio stations will overplay her songs to the extent that the meaning of her lyrics are lost to most and she becomes merely trendy. This has happenened to so many, but maybe I'm underestimating Poe, and she will be able to handle superfame more gracefully than anyone before her. But for right now, I prefer to just enjoy an amazing musician who by some grace has not yet become a prey of the media. - -Emily ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Jan 1997 08:13:28 -0500 (EST) From: Poe Subject: First post from another new angry psycho. hello all. as you can tell this is my first post to this list. i am a big fan of poe's and really appreciate all the work jarrod does. now i just wanna say one thing bout the suicide posts. jarrod and anyone else that feels that suicide is the only answer, i know how it is, i have been there before and still am sometimes ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Jan 1997 20:26:35 -0500 From: Robby Black Subject: Regional Update Hello to all: I have been working on getting regions of the US set up.. I am not an expert on AIDS and cannot accurately describe the source of the disease. Where it came from does not matter to me. I do not "like" AIDS, but I do see how it may help out our world by reducing our population. (I have a relative who has already died because of AIDS, so do not try to tell me I don't respect the disease.) My argument may seem stupid to you, and in some ways it seems so to me also. I believe that it is very difficult (if not impossible) to fight overpopulation in a democratic country like the United States. In order to reduce population, we must limit reproduction! This angers many people; how can one take away your rights to have children... as many children as you want. Since we cannot control our growning population, we must rely on good old Mother Nature to do the work for us. It seems that I have slipped again, but I will not change it so you can see my line of thought. Limiting reproduction is not near the only solution to our problem. One step that would be great progress for human nature would be to stop the use of doctors and medicine. We should let those with medical problems that may be hereditary die off so that humans will eventually evolve to a more perfect race. We should not fix vision with glasses, that only makes it worse. PR0death P.S. Of course the REAL solution to our problem is a natural predator. :) "Dying Is an art, like everything else." -- Sylvia Plath ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Jan 1997 21:49:22 -0600 (CST) From: jgofort@comp.uark.edu (Joseph H. I've seen so many young boys(as it mainly strikes men) die before they've even experienced life at all. I'm 19....I'm outstanding when it comes to my survival......If we'd abandoned the "weak" as you put it....then where would we have gone with Franklin D. Roosevelt who had Polio? Gee...I guess the US would have faltered and been eventually divided into parts because of the Great Depression. I will not sit here and listen to this kind of foolish crap.
