Warning to AOLers with Macs: For now, I don't know how to help you. Sorry. ::( In the next few weeks, I might be able to figure out AOL 3 for Mac, but I need to get it at school first. I doubt that the chat on Thursday will need Java...uh right Jarrod??? Web chatting on AOL's browser is a pain though. For *everyone* on AOL: Keyword: Netscape should help you to at least be able to use Netscape, and you'll at least have JavaScript. It's a meg and a half, so remember your pricing plan... Netscape 3.0, used in Win95, will support Java. There is a 3.1 beta, with Java for Windows 3.1/3.11 on Netscape's web site, which you get when you Keyword Netscape. I have not tried this one; I eventually killed it when I tried to download it. This would be a good opportunity for you to go to Keyword: FTP and learn how to use it, because downloading the setup through AOL's browser may cut it off. I know I'm confusing people, but I unfortunately don't have time to go in depth on it...If you really want to do this, Keyword: Answerman, and good luck. IM me if you see me online and need help. I went on a search for POE goods at valley record stores yesterday (Phoenix) and I noticed that the old stuff. Original pressings of the CD or Vinyl are from Modern not Modern/Atlantic. Also the Modern Atlantic Pressing of the CD is #92605-2 The original on MODERN is just #92605. People who think they have the original with The Horned Junkie.... Is it Modern 92605 or is it Modern/Atlantic 92605-2? Just something to think about and to look for. I happen to SCORE! Trigger Happy Jack Single on Vinyl. The picture on the front is a Grey POE ball with her in the middle and red letters that say the title. This sounds like the color scheme of the Japaneese import. Right Rusty? Also. It is a Modern Release. Not Modern/Atlantic. Needless to say. I am very excited. The shrink Wrap will never leave it. Hangin' on the wall as we speak. Trigger Happy Jack Single on CD. Colored front cover of the same picture. I think I will open this one because I want to listen to Padre Fear (that is on it). Thanks everybody. This is POE related talk and this is fun. Jarrod justapsycho@poe.org P.S I may have a tape for the Angry-Psychos Tape Tree. It all depends on how the post production of it goes. I am trying to clean it up. I think saying Poe is hated is a bit premature :) But I did worry this would happen, when Poe mentioned she was thinking of using the band version for the video (which I _finally_ saw last night). Apparently, a lot of radio stations have been playing it, too (not here in Dallas--the Edge only plays the LP version). But so far, there is no album or single that actually has this track on it, only promos (and they're no guaran- tee--I ordered a Hello promo, and wound up with the one that has only the LP and radio edit versions *grumble*). As different as the two versions are, people who buy "Hello" expecting the band version are bound to be upset (unless they listen to it enough to get used to it, and become Poe-zombies like us [one of us...one of us...]). I also think that the album version would have done better on MTV; it's closer to something they'd play. I certainly haven't seen the "Hello" video nearly as much as I was seeing "Angry Johnny". ____________________________________________________________________________ I. I won't be attending the chat on thur. My sister (2 years old) has been complaining for a week now that her leg hurts. My mom took her in, they got some blood samples, and early today we got a call (while I was at school) that something was puzzling. They took her in for an IV shot, and I got home with a note telling me this. I watched TV, having a strange premonition to stay off the phone lines, and about 4:30 my dad came home and told me my baby sister had Leukimia. She has the best possibilities to be cured, and has to have treatment for the next two years. Yes, she will lose her hair. I'm not as saddened now as I now know it is not terminal, and know about the disease she has. I'll be at the University of Wisconsin Hospital for the next week, and I'll try to e-mail you from there. Please. . . Wish us luck. - -Landon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Jan 1997 22:45:58 -0600 From: Lehmann Subject: RE: VINYL PROBLEMS SOLVED!!!!
