It's Norm. I posted yesterday but there was a problem with my mail so it never got through. Now I am going to try it again. I decided what my favorite lyrics are. They are from "That Day." "Tomorrow's coming 'round a hair pin curve in the road..." and "I wonder what you'll do with that expensive piece of land that overlooks a billion years of history (I have a sneaking suspicion) you will never understand..." There are other lines from other songs that I love too but these really stick out. The second one makes me wonder just how important possession really is and how we take things for granted. There was also a posting about collecting Poe stuff on vinyl. I collect records and bootlegs too. The only Poe record I have found is a promo 12" of "Trigger..." It has a white sleeve with a picture label. The label features the same art as the "Trigger..." cd single. If anyone finds a copy of the official 12" with the picture sleeve can you grab it for me? I'll repay you for it. As for bootlegs: anybody know how to press picture discs? That would be too cool! I know I'm dreaming. I was at a record show yesterday. I looked all over for Poe stuff but there was nothing outside of the "Hello" cd available. I found a promo poster (the one where she is on the stairs holding a lighter). That was a nice surprise! Now it graces the wall above my bat-computer. Okay, that's it. I didn't mean to ramble. Later, Norm "It's okay to be stupid if everybody else is." They're a little on the odd side, but odd in a good way. They draw from punk, alternative, funk and rock and don't really have a defined sound unless you base the description solely on the front-woman's voice, and even that only narrows things a little. Their performance was strong and exciting. They have a bunch of really great songs ("Trigger Happy Jack," "Angry Johnny" and "Dolphin"), but continuity-wise they are just all over the map. I think my last couple of posts bounced. If you got them, ignore this. 1) My chat applet: I changed applets to a much simpler, reliable, faster-loading one. It's very simple. Just go to http://www.europa.com/~lyza/music/poechat.htm All you have to do is type your nickname and press join. All Angry-Psychos who are interested in having a chat here (still), email me with preferred times for a chat. It works, it works!!! No more problems. Nada. Zip. 2) My Page!: Updated again. In fact, I update so much (almost daily) that I have established something to keep y'all up to date. Go to my page http://www.europa.com/~lyza/music/poe.htm and enter your email address. Then you will automatically be informed of any updates or just general new Poe information that I have. You can't lose anything by joining!!!!! I have a really neat new update coming up, and I am so happy about it I almost want to spill my secret, but I won't!
